I think you'll see BCV continue to come down, you've already seen it come back to the pack somewhat. I doubt it will hold to the level of BLT as a 2042 expiration and I expect it to continue to come closer to VWL and BWV over time.

I just made an offer for a smaller BLT contract 50 pt last week. I couldnt resist b/c it was a small one that we can afford now to add to our master contract - SSR.. and i was looking for the same use year. so far so good - i offered low.. at $89 pp but knowing that smaller contracts tend to go fast and i have to pay the higher price.. for sure, the seller counteroffered with listing price at $95/pp.. Did I jump on this too soon?
Was this a good deal?? i'm second guessing myself here.. The TSS rep did say that if anyone offers at list price after me, for sure the seller will accept it.. so i took a dive and went for it.. besides in the whole scheme of things - its only a small difference of $ for what I'm really looking for. Hence, i wanted to get more opinions on why BLT were selling for higher resale point price.. other than what i thought was desirability, location and that it must still be selling actively and its new.. i guess everyone made the same points.. did i make the right move and offered the $95 pp? Im going on a Disney cruise this December and will be sitting on the DVC to see what they are offering.. i had a feeling that the incentives they'll have - wont match my resale price anyway.. i believe they are selling the BLTs at 165 pp. whoa.. and $7 credit if we buy at least 100 pts.. they might not even offer any of that.. i'm just reading other posts... |

IMO the future pricing of all DVC properties will depend upon the demand to stay at Disney. If room rates continue to increase DVC prices may actually go up.
As long as savings can be achieved by buying DVC demand for units and prices will remain good. |

I'm with you, I don't think you'll get a better deal going direct.

That's kind of what I expect as well, BLT will always have a premium price to the other current resort, just like BCV has a premium to all the other resorts currently.

I don't know how GF will play out against BLT. But I'm pretty sure the the Poly would win any death match the three of them have. |

And I am not sure if this is the same to AKV and DTD or not. Also, how many years do you think it will take before you see GF on the resale market? I am not sure how long it took with BLT, I was not around then.

Not quite, but almost immediately there will be people who buy on vacation, then get home and - after they can't get out of it any longer - discover its a bad fit or really not affordable. Or they get laid off a month after they bought. Or divorced. Like BLT, those contracts won't be cheap - people who make that mistake generally need to get as much out as possible - and Disney isn't interested in fire sales on their newest resort. |

I'm looking at resales too and don't quite understand why BCV is more expensive than the others like VWL and AKV and BWV in particular since both BWV and BCV are walking distance to Epcot & HS?

BCV can be the most difficult to book seven months out for "ordinary" rooms (i.e. not standard view or "specialty view" or concierge or Grand Villas). So for people who ALWAYS want to stay at BCV - especially those who travel during high demand times, the price premium is worth it. For a lot of people though, it isn't. If you aren't a SAB fan and just want the Epcot area - BWV Standard View is the bargain. |

I don't think we agree as much as you think. BLT is only a good deal if you want to stay there most trips enough to pay significantly more. It'll be more expensive than many other options. Part of the reasons for BLT being more are artificial and won't hold up.

![]() Seriously, though, the ability to walk to MK from BLT was the number one reason why we bought there (resale).
