Happy Thanksgiving to all my DIS friends who are celebrating!

I need to vent a bit as I'm very unhappy with Small World Vacations right now.

As I said earlier this week, I was supposed to get my Mickey Mail last week from SMV and didn't. On Sunday I emailed my TA and she told me that they had received the paperwork but it was wrong so she requested new paperwork. She emailed me again Tuesday that they had received the correct paperwork and she mailed it Priority Mail that day.

So the update: I received it yesterday, but it was only the luggage tags and coupons you get with a package. I emailed her again last night that I didn't get the DME packet and DME luggage tags. She called me this morning and told me she screwed up. When she ordered the new paperwork she didn't ask for new DME info, and she had already tossed the old stuff. So I won't get the tags or packet since I leave in 5 days and there is no time. Now, I do know I can just go to the desk and still take DME, and I was planning on getting my luggage myself anyway, but I'm still not happy about this. I was planning on using the packet and tags in my scrapbooking for the trip, and now I can't. Not to mention how much stress it's added to an already stressful week right before my trip.

Yes, SMV is free, but that doesn't make it okay to screw up. If anything it's worse since I have no recourse and they have no real incentive to not make mistakes like this. While I certainly won't let it ruin my vacation, I will also certainly never use SMV again, even if it did save me money since they had an exclusive discount. I do plan on saying something to them about the mistakes and my displeasure about them, as well as telling them the good things too since that's only fair.

Anyway, thanks for letting me rant. Here's hoping nothing else goes wrong before I leave!!!

I don't blame you for being upset....there is really no excuse for it. They do this every day and it should come naturally to them to send you everything. I certainly would let them know of your displeasure.

Keeping lots of going that nothing else happens before your trip.

Thanks! I understand that mistakes happen, and the fact that they sent the wrong paperwork the first time wasn't her fault. But not telling me about it so I didn't get worried was, as was forgetting the DME packets. I will be contacting them, probably Monday so I calm down a bit first.

I'm pretty much all set now so there's not much else that can go wrong, and hopefully nothing else will.

I'm sure you are getting excited too, since your surprise trip is getting so close now!!!!

That stinks! I hope they dont make mistakes like that with newbies to the World. At least you know how to work around it.

Exactly! A lot of first timers don't even know that you get Mickey Mail, or DME info, what would they do?

But I did confirm that DME has my flight info, so I'm going to be fine.

DAY 5, MONDAY DECEMBER 3RD


I'm spending my last full day at WDW here:







I'll probably head right to Tomorrowland (hoping to avoid the crowds heading to FLE) and ride these:



















And watch a showing of this:







I'll head to Fantasyland next, though if it's crazy I'll just skip it. If it's okay though I will ride everything I can in there, and FLE. Irregardless after Fantasyland I'll head here:







to play with the Happy Haunts. I'm hoping to eat lunch at BOG, which should be right around this time. If I just can't get in then I'll head to Pecos Bills for lunch before riding Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

After eating lunch I'll head into Adventureland and take in this ride:

I'll climb up Swiss Family Treehouse to get some good pictures from up there. If I didn't get to do Fantasyland, or if I just skipped some of the rides due to lines, I will head back there and do what I need to do.

Once I've done all of those I will go back and do things I skipped due to them not being as important to me, like Astro Orbiter, Tomorrowland Speedway, Enchanted Tiki Room, Liberty Belle, etc. Only one I won't do is Stitch's Great Escape, as I just can't stand it.

Since the park is open so late for EMH (I think midnight, I need to double check) I will watch the parades (assuming it's not crazier than I think it will be). Dinner will be at either Pecos Bills (if I didn't eat lunch there), Pinocchio Village Haus or Cosmic Rays, whichever I feel like really. I will also definitely watch these:















I will re-ride anything I feel like doing again after Wishes, which will certainly include BTMR, Space Mtn, Buzz Lightyear, PoTC and others. Once MK either closes, or I'm just too tired to stay up, I'll head back to POP and sleep!!

I love your Day 5 plans...I can't think of a better place to spend one's last full day than the MK.

And I like that you'll be able to ride some favorites again after Wishes (I'm lucky if we make it to Wishes ).

I agree, I love spending my last full day at MK I did that last trip too.

I always try to stay the whole day at a park so I can fully enjoy it. I never officially park hop. I will go from AK to MK for MVMCP, but AK closes early anyway.

I know, MK has so many attractions, with such variety!

I only met if it was just too packed to get a table at BOG, since so many people will want to get in!

I think I will too, but I'm trying to not get my hopes up so if something does go wrong I'm not too disappointed!
