Best use of snack credits?
I remember seeing a best use of snack credits listed somewhere, but I don't remember where. Can someone direct me? Thanks!

I cant find the link youre referring to, but I will give you some tips.
My value snacks are as follows: - cookie ice cream sandwich from the Main St Bakery. Since the MSB is closing soon, they moved these sandwiches to the Plaza Ice Cream shop. They literally hand scoop the icecream onto fresh MASSIVE cookies. OMG its heaven! And its HUGE! - dole whip...actually, i prefer the citrus swirl (vanilla orange swirl). - side items at QS such as baked potatoe, fries, bowl of soup. - ANY pastry from the french bakery. OMG YUM! I know I have more but im drawing a blank right now. ![]() Anyway, you can find some great tips here: Maximizing Snack Credits And here: Top 6 Snacks

Exactly! I totally agree. Get what you want, but dont bother with the bottled water. Thats a waste of a snack credit.

Depending on their appetites, sometimes a bagel, or oatmeal, or a muffin (all snack credits) for breakfast is all they need! My DS12 doesnt eat much in the morning, so he's fine just nibbling on a muffin or something instead of having a full breakfast. Oh btw, you can also get a fruit cup as a snack. Thats another great item for ppl who arent big on morning meals.

2nd time writing this out - i'm new here. i keep on clicking 'preview' thinking it's the 'post' button. by the time i find out i'm wrong, i've already closed my browser tab! argh!!! silly me.
anyway... i actually found this site that allowed you to download a list of snacks by location in DW. the snacks were sub-categorized by location within the park or resort. if i recall this site, i will come back to re-post it. i think if you google "magicaldreamtours' you might get the site. for me, i am using snacks as a filler on days i've made reservations for a brunch and/or dinner buffet. i'm not a big dessert lover so i'll be looking for places that give snacks such as: - croissant ham/cheese sandwich - bagel and cream cheese - yogurt parfaits - bowl of soup - side fries i read a some cool tip on using snack credits when you end up having leftovers at the end of your trip: - resorts are pretty good at letting you use them for a packable lunch to eat on the plane or on the way home - get some souvenier candies, mickey rice krispie pops (as they are wrapped up) and other things that are packaged for you to take home and give out to friends/family |

WOW! Where do you get that for a snack credit? Sadly with all the character buffets we go to, we never finish our snacks. It's such a waste. This time we're switching resorts half way through so I only purchased the dining plan for the first half of our trip!

The last day we were there, we had a boatload of snack credits left. I bought a few dozen of those large Disney suckers they sell in most of the gift shops. I think they were about five bucks a piece. Our kids handed them out to friends as souvenirs. For us, it ended up being a great use of our remaining snack credits.
But was it the best use of our snack credits? Probably not. I'm sure they cost Disney virtually nothing. But we (the kids) certainly got a lot of fun out of them. |

Our favorite snacks are the cinnamon buns from Main Street Bakery! Amazing! This last trip the kids happened to fall asleep at dinner time so DH and I got to splurge on those for dinner. Hehehe.
Our kids also love the bags of kettle corn especially when we catch the movies by the pool at the end of the night. Our kids also love the chocolate covered marshmallows on the Mickey straws. The snack is good and they get the straw for their refillable mugs. |
