Just a thought maybe this is the next step. It apears to be simular to a watch band and removable. |

I'll admit, I've only made it 1/2 way though this thread.
I honestly don't care of they track my every move through the park. I do like the concept behind using RFID. Rather than having to scan your ticket / card all you have to do is wave it in front of the sensor to get: Into the park. Get a FP Get into your hotel room (if you stay on site) etc. The part that I don't like is having to wear a wrist band. I can't stand anything on my wrists (no watch, no bracelet, no long sleeves, etc). Anytime I go somewhere that I have to ware one of those temp wrist bands, my enjoyment is diminished, because it is bothering me all the time. One way that might make the wristbands tolerable would be to have some sort of wicking fabric on the underside, so that the sweat doesn't build up and make the plastic all sticky and uncomfortable. I assume that they will be removable, so that you don't have to sleep and shower in them for a week plus. Which brings me to my next complaint. What about the kids. Are they going to have to wear their own bracelet? If so, and they are removable, what will keep them from getting tired of it, taking it off, and dropping it on the ground, only to find out (as parents) 30 minutes later they they took it off in the middle of the cue to buzz light year or two "lands" away, or dropped it in the flower bed when we stopped to rest, etc. What about tickets you buy from from 3rd party vendors? (i.e AAA). Are all of those going to be the RFID chipped wristback? (currently such tickets are paper not plastic like the KTTK card). Or will they be a voucher that will have to be redeemed once you get to the parks, adding yet another hurdle to jump through on your first day (don't underestimate the millions of people that pre-buy their tickets before even traveling). And if these are going to be used for FPs as well, how do I know what my return time(s) is? With the paper tickets I could look at it and remind myself. However, if it is all coded in the RFID chip, that is a problem. Will there be 100s of scanners through the parks that I can use to check my FP times? Someone is probably going to say "this isn't even implemented yet, wait to see how it is going to work before you start complaining." The problem what that is, once they do finally announce how it is going to work, it will be a done deal, and the process will be set in stone. So at that point what is the point of complaining about something you can't change. I know that Disney doesn't actively monitor this forum, however there are many CMs that do. My hope is that these concerns will be floated up the chain by these CMs.

As for you other points it really is a we just don't know and as for CM's reading these posts and passing the info up I doubt it would be anywhere near the decision makers. So it really is lets wait and see. To me it seems like this will start to move once they get past the official opening of the FLE. But thats just my own thoughts.
