Spirit of Aloha - Upgrade to Cat 1 on DDP
I have the DDP and used it to book category 2 seating for the 5:15 SOA show on 12/19 and had read that I could upgrade to category 1 seating and just pay the difference.
When I called today to do this, I was told that the upgrade to Cat1 seating for people on the Dining Plan is only for the 8:00 show. I haven't read this anywhere and am wondering if anyone has heard this before. I told her I would wait & talk to my family because I didn't know if they wanted to wait & do the later show. Turns out, they don't. They would prefer the earlier show. I'm kind of bummed because I really wanted to sit up close for the show. So, I guess I have 2 questions- was the CM correct about the upgrade option or should I call back & ask another CM tomorrow? Has anyone done Cat 2 seating & how did you like it - were the seats good? Guess that's more than 2 questions...  Thanks! |

I don't know where you read about being able to combine credits and cash, but this is not correct. You can't use credits for one category, then add money to move up to category 1. According to the dining plan you can use credits to book category 2 or 3 at any show or category 1 at a specific show - usually the last one of the evening so the CM on the phone was correct.

Sorry, no combining cash and credits. That's never done.
It's Hoop de Doo that allows Category 1 at the latest show. I don't think Spirit of Aloha does.
