Refund if you add a discount code to existing reservation?
If I make a room-only reservation for the rack rate and later go back and add a discount (like a pin code, AP discount, or AAA discount), will I get a refund for the difference? I want to wait to book if I can't be guaranteed to get the lower rate if one comes out.
It's been a while since we've paid OOP for a room (we're DVC members), so I appreciate any information you guys can share! Thanks! |

Well it will depend on if the discount is avaialable for your dates and resort. They only alott a certain number of rooms with the pin or promo so there are no guarantees.... especially if the resort is a popular one.

You may not require a "refund." If you've booked a room-only reservation, you don't pay in full until check in. If you've booked a package, you don't have to pay in full until 45 days before arrival.
You can book at rack rate and if available, a subsequent discount will be applied to reduce your balance due. If the discount isn't available, you can cancel the room-only up to 5 days before arrival and the package up to 45 days, without penalty and get your deposit back. |
