Disney Dining Plan 1st time
This is the first time we will be using the DDP (1QS, 1TS, 1SN). We have a couple of questions we need answered:
1. We are staying 8 nights/9 days so do we get 8 of each or 9 of each? 2. What is the best way to use the 1CS each day to get the most "bang for our buck?" We usually eat a larger breakfast and then an early dinner 4-5 p.m. We have reservations for the 1TS each day already. Any suggestions or helpful tips would be appreciated. TIA! |

Dining plans are based on the number of nights you are staying so you'll get 8 of each entitlement plus 1 refillable mug per person.

You'll find several threads with the QS places with the larger meals, but here are a few: Flametree at AK, Fairfax Fare at HS and Cosmic Rays at MK all have a rib/chicken combo that's huge. Tangeriene Cafe at Epcot and Sunshine Seasons have larger portioned meals. Wolfgang Puck Express at DTD is a no-brainer for QS. |

Totally agree with this. The prices are pretty steep at WGPE when paying OOP (out of pocket), its almost on par with TS prices.
For example, meatloaf entree cost $15 cheesecake for dessert $5 drink $2.85 Thats $24.34 if you paid OOP! (I have the receipt from my Aug trip, I visited WGPE on Aug.27). So the fact that youre getting a great meal for a QS credit is AMAZING! Great value on the DP. (it includes a drink too). And let me tell you, the food is TO DIE FOR. It really is. i've tried the spagetti & meatballs, phenominal. Pizza, delicious. Bacon wrapped meatloaf with mashed potatoes, TO DIE FOR. Thats by far my fave dish and highlight on my last trip. While at DTD, there's also the ever so popular Earl of Sandwich. Waste of a QS credit if you ask me, simply because its so cheap, its best to pay OOP. Sandwiches are good but a bit overrated.

You can use as many meals as you like in one day, and you don't have to use them at the park. You can use them at your resort, in DTD, etc. Just as an aside - you don't get the PH for one day. You pay the price of the PH and it goes onto all of your tickets. |

I would only need the PH for 1 day so I thought I could do this since Im only in the parks for 3 days I plan on doing HS 1 day MK 1 day and in the 3rd day I plan on doing 1/2 day at Ep and 1/2 day AK. will this work with a 4 day ticket?? |

Nope, if you don't have the Park Hopper option, you can only visit one park each day.

Any suggestions or helpful tips would be appreciated. TIA! Still wondering what the best deal for breakfast is using the CS credits. We do not eat lunch, we only eat breakfast and dinner. Is it a better deal to eat in the resort food court or at the theme parks (price wise)? I would really appreciate some help. We don't know what to expect for breakfast CS meals at say Main Street Bakery, Sunshine Seasons, Earl of Sandwich, Pizzafari, or Captain Cook's at the Polynesian Resort. These are some of the locations we are looking at for our breakfasts. |

Otherwise, go to allearsnet.com and take a look at the menus where you think you'll eat. That will give you an idea of what kind of entrees they have for breakfast. |
