Spring 2013 Professional Internships

Hi Cindy17! It looks like we're in the same boat, waiting to hear if our kids got an Entertainment Tech internship. The waiting is crazy, isn't it?!

Could you please tell me what address your son sent his note to? My daughter sent a note about a week and half ago, much like your son's, but didn't hear anything back. I wonder if she had the right address. I'd be grateful if you'd let me know which address he used.

He's waiting on an Engineering PI, but I think there are just some PIs they haven't started interviewing for yet. The address he used is wdpr.professional.interns@disney.com. Best of luck to her!

I had quit the FB group because it was depressing the heck out of me so I heard from a family member on Thursday that he got another position...and I could not even think. Everyone else who stated an interest in the position had announced that they had gone NLIC...so I hoped and carried my phone in my hand just so I would not miss the call. I got the background email and then a few hours later I got a phone call. I was on the water taxi heading toward the west side. I begged him to talk even though the boat was noisy.

So happy...now I have to decide what to do about housing. So many choices...so much money...I am certain this will be easier than waiting

Thanks, Cindy - that's the same e-mail she used. I hope your son gets the Engineering PI! I know a 24-year old who did two separate Engineering PIs for Disney then got hired full-time after she graduated. Best of luck to you and your son.

They've started a group for those accepted so you might want to join that one. That way you can possible connect with people for housing, yk?

Hey guys, hate to keep changing the subject but I was wondering if anyone could help me out as far as finding the truth about an apartment complex Mostly because since I'm moving in January, I have to look at filling out leasing applications like... now.

Anyway, I have personally visited Bella Apartments in Kissimmee. It seemed fine. The office staff was fine and so were the grounds. However, Bella's reviews online are really, really, REALLY bad. It makes me scared to move in. I obviously wouldn't be able to tell if they were true or not within a 20 minute tour. Does anyone by chance know someone that lives in Bella and could ask them what they think?

That's just my worst fear is moving into a "lemon" and being trapped with a 12 month lease. Thanks

Update: I actually have a friend that lives in Bella and loves it and said the online reviews simply were not true. So I'm moving forward with Bella

Also, I got a NLIC email today for the last minute Disneyland PI I applied for, which is actually good. I would have no idea what to do if I got it.

I'm still waiting to hear back from some CP Alumni Only PIs that I applied for. Isn't December 7th the last day to hear back? I know it's less than a month away, but I'm getting highly frustrated and impatient.

Has anyone heard anything about a CP Alumni Only PI they applied for?

My son is still waiting to hear about his engineering PI! And it's not a CP Alumni one. He sent an email about 2 weeks ago, and they said he WILL get an email about an interview soon. But yes, the waiting is very frustrating!

Which Alumni ones are you waiting on? There have been tons of guest relations acceptances and some others but I can't remember which ones off the top of my head.

My DD is still waiting too. She is waiting on the alumni PI also. She signed up for the teaching one. She will take group of kids around and tell them things about the park.(at least I think that is what she will do) We will actually be at Disney World on Dec. 7th, if they wait that long to let her know. It could either be a bittersweet day or a very magical day for her. Of course we are all hoping for the magical day.

As we can tell people are getting their acceptance phone calls for their ALUMNI ONLY PI's. I am still in the running but I am getting a little nervous. This is my second time applying for PI's and I came a lot further this year then the last time. But I am still in the Interview Stage. Also I noticed people got accepted very soon after they were given there DWSS applications. I am just not sure what to expect right now. Do we know which PIs have been already accepting besides Guest Relations? This would just be a dream come true and I would not want to pass it up!

When I applied for the CP Alumni PIs, I believe I checked off about 10-12 that I fit the requirements for and was interested in, so I was pretty wide open.

Of course on the phone screen, we discussed my top three. I think my top 3 were Traditions, the Epcot one, and the DHS one. I don't remember right off the top of my head their official titles. My interviewer told me that I could potentially be selected for any of the ones that I had checked off though, which is fine. Any of them would be an amazing opportunity.

Luckily, I didn't apply for a Guest Relations one, so no competition there.

There seems to be a lot of Alumni positions to fill and they are really behind in figuring out who's going to fill them. So fingers crossed for you!

I don't think I've seen anything mentioned about Epcot roles or DHS. Mostly just the traditions, YES stuff, GR and some other education ones and some cast activity ones (I think that's what they were called).

Traditions is filled already as they only take 1 person and this semester the person in it is extending plus they took 1 new person.
