discounts at FW campsites?
Do they ever offer discounts on the campsites? I see that they weren't part of the fall FD promotion or the winter promotion. Some of the sites are more expensive than the values, I don't see why they are excluded.

Campsites are never available with any FD promos because they allow up to 10 people to stay per site, and WDW would be losing $$.
But usually you can find campsites included in other offers, even though they might not be in the ad (unless the ad for that promo specifically mentions that they are not included). For instance, the winter offer does have them - but in the particular dates I checked they're only at 5% discount and availability is tight. ![]() Using some Feb dates just as an example, the campsites usually priced at: Date Rate per Night Mon, Feb 04 $ 48.00 Tue, Feb 05 $ 48.00 Wed, Feb 06 $ 48.00 With the Package Offer: The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort Check In February 04, 2013 Check Out February 07, 2013 Staying for 3 nights, 4 days Adults 2 Children 0 Room Type: Tent or Pop-Up Campsite Tickets None Package Room Only Date Rate per Night Mon, Feb 04 $ 45.60 = compared to $48 Tue, Feb 05 $ 45.60 Wed, Feb 06 $ 45.60 Or the full hook ups, usually priced at: Date Rate per Night Mon, Feb 04 $ 65.00 Tue, Feb 05 $ 65.00 Wed, Feb 06 $ 65.00 With the Package Offer The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort Check In February 04, 2013 Check Out February 07, 2013 Staying for 3 nights, 4 days Adults 2 Children 0 Room Type:Full Hook-Up Campsite Tickets None Package Room Only Date Rate per Night Mon, Feb 04 $ 61.75 = compared to $65.00 Tue, Feb 05 $ 61.75 Wed, Feb 06 $ 61.75 Not much savings on these particular dates, but I guess 5% off is better than nothing.

Thank you for the information. I hadn't thought about allowing 10 people. I wish they would offer FD with a limit of 2 adults, 2 kids like they would for a hotel room.

You are allowed to have as many people on FD as your room occupancy allows, whether they are all adults, or a mixture of adults and kids. There is no set limit.

Right, what I was going for is that a typical hotel room at WDW holds 4 people vs. 10 people at the campsites. When they do the advertised price for special packages it's usually with 2 adults and 2 kids that's why I used that combination.

There is usually a pretty good discount if you have AAA. Sometimes you can get a discount of up to 20%. I am on the camping boards and there are camping veterans that know all about the AAA discounts.
