Fun! I only ran three races in 2012 so far, 2 HMs and 1 10K, (and a 5K planned for December). Here are the two HM medals. I <3 the princess because it was my first HM, and I <3 the Smuttynose because of the seal. At mile 10 we came out of a few miles of residential areas onto the coast road. It was cold and rainy, and out on the shoals off the shore was a huge pod of seals playing in the waves. Can't think of a better 10 mile boost!

*Sigh* I am so jealous of all your medals!! I have 2- the Princess and the TOT. None of the local races around here have finisher medals- just some sort of premium which is generally a cotton T-shirt
 I so wish there was more bling around here!!

What a holiday gift, not!
It was a tough trail course, but fun to run. I heard someone today call it a hard cross country course. I decided about 2 weeks ago to run it as a warm up for the Houston half. I am guessing this was a much harder run than that will be! I guess yesterdays course was actually 14 miles for the half, and 28 for the full. They shortened it a little today, the half was only 13.5 miles long today! That thing is huge, and I heard a couple of folks drop theirs, and it sounded like a manhole cover being dropped! |

I just got my very first medal on November 17 - the St Augustine 10k! I only started walking and running in February, so this medal means so much! I can't wait to get that 2013 Princess bling, though!

 Yes, I hung them on my tree! Left to right, St. Jude Memphis Half, Move It Memphis 5k, Happy Haunted 5k Trail Run, Elvis Presley 5k, and Tower of Terror 10 Miler. This is my first year as a runner. I did my first 5k almost 3 years ago but I walked almost all of it. Back then I only ran through intersections where cars were waiting on me. So this year has been quite an accomplishment for me. Up next, Princess!
