I can't imagine Disney releasing a new Star Wars film every few years unless they totally do characters that have not been part of the canon. Harrison Ford, Mark Hamil, and Carrie Fisher are all quite a bit older than what they were in the 70s. There are books in the literature canon that would have been awesome to put into movies (the Tim Zahn trilogy and duology - anybody know them?) but those books and the canon after ROTJ relies heavily on the characters of Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, and Han Solo. Who know though.

Can you imagine the amount of merchandise that will come out now that Disney fully owns the rights to Star Wars instead of just leasing/in collaboration?

I agree the Zahn books would be an amazing foundation to the continuation of the series! Soooo excited to see where this goes!

Great point about the total acquisition. Lucasfilm is connected with quite a few of the major science fiction and action movies from recent years, including the films from Marvel, which is now a sister company (maybe more of a brother company).

Al's sources say Innoventions is going down in Feb. to be replaced by an Iron Man E-ticket. He did not say it would be a Stark Expo, but that makes sense because it would work will in the existing space. Expo, however, does not scream E-ticket to me. Who knows? Maybe it will be a great queue/ride combo or a slow/fast ride combo like RSR and Test Track.
