free upgrades to concierge, anyone had one?
I am just curious, but has anyone stayed onsite and received a free upgrade to concierge? We travel on Dec 6th and stay onsite for a week from 13th at Wilderness Lodge. We all have our fingers crossed for that sprinkle of "pixie dust".

I've heard on it done but I doubt it on a week long stay.
A friend of mine was upgraded to CL at the Poly but it was a 2 night stay. Same friend has stayed at WL twice, and even on short breaks when checking in with her wedding dress over her shoulder she didn't get an upgrade. She did to CL at AKL though. We were also upgraded at AKL and when we booked CL Main Building at the Floridian we got a castle view upgrade. So upgrades defintely happen but there's just no way of knowing. So make sure you've booked a view you're happy to get. x

We got a free upgrade to concierge at WL it was only a one night stay, we were upgraded due to overbooking at the resort rather than pixie dust
![]() Our view was of the service area with the castle through the tree, I actually would have preferred the courtyard view we booked originally but did enjoy the free treats in the lounge Wilderness lodge is a lovely resort I am sure you will have a fab time, I would request a refurbished room, I am not sure if Disney have finished the refurbishments but they have been going on a while

We got upgraded at Beach Club from a standard room to Club Level with a board walk view for a 1 week stay on our honeymoon. I rang up a couple of weeks before to request a specific standard room and mentioned it was our honeymoon so I guess the lady on the phone was feeling generous!
It was really lovely as when we arrived we had no idea, but a man outside with a clipboard asked us our names and took us straight up in the lift - it was only when we got to the top that he told us we'd been upgraded Here's a pic of our view: ![]() Hope you get some pixie dust, it's definately out there! We were upgraded at the Beach Club to concierge level in 2008, I think it was an 8 night stay. We got a lovely room with a balcony and a view of Stormalong Bay. That was one of the Year of a Million Dreams promotions though so I'm not sure if it was anything to do with that. We arrived at the hotel to check in and were taken by someone outside up in the lift as well!

we got a free upgrade to concierge 12 nights over xmas and new year a few yaers ago, we were in the boardwalk DVC studio. when we went to room it wreaked off rancid smoke. As we had requested a no smoking room as youngest had asthma issues. we didnt even take our bags in.Told bell hop to take them back to front desk.Where we asked for a new room and why.
As everywhere was full due to time of year we were offered OKW, as we didnt have a car told them the reason we picked the boardwalk was because it was within walking distance to epcot and easy to get to MK and MGM studios(shows when it was).We kept polite and never shouted at all times but insisted we wanted the boardwalk. Then they said they had no boardwalk DVC rooms but would we be happy with a concierge in the boardwalk hotel. As i had never heard of concierge at the time. I said as long as i had a fridge(fridge) and coffee machine in room would be ok. We never used the fridge that much as when i found out what concierge was i was amazed at what we got(thought cordials was things like vimto ) concierge should have cost i think $8,000 for the 12 nights we only paid our 200+ points for it.far swap Also on last trip we had a standard studio booked for BLT ended up with a MK view for 3 nights Paul

Yes, I think we were - last week for a 7 night stay at the BC.
I say think, as I booked a Water/Pool view room with Complete Orlando and when we arrived, we were whisked off upstairs (we had no idea where we were going to or what Concierge involved!). I don't think this came through CO, but have emailed them to ask! We had a room just above the water slide with a balcony, it was huge and lovely. Having access to soft drinks, snacks and breakfast made a big difference and beers, wines and even Brandy was also available. I have just checked the difference in price and it would be £500 or thereabouts to upgrade, whether that would be worth it or not over a week, I am not sure, but was lovely when we were not expecting it!
