Anyone else disappointed with ToT?
Yes. But not because of the Osborne Lights.

The past two years, the Wine & Dine ½ was run on opening weekend of the Food & Wine Festival at Epcot. It was originally scheduled that way this year as well. However, when they added the Tower of Terror 10 Miler, the bumped the Wine & Dine ½ to the closing weekend of Food & Wine. So in theory, if the ToT10M didn't happen, the lights might have been on for the W&D½. I think that they were not on for the ToT10M because it would have skewed the theme of the after party, not because the park is 'done up for Halloween'. I was at the Studios last weekend and cannot recall any Halloween themed decorations.

I can't recall the name of it but if they don't have that specific one they'll certainly have something!
I didn't even think of that, thanks! I definitely plan on scouting out the goods at the expo. I have an amphipod water belt, but it turned out to be too uncomfortable. The bottle (about 12 oz?) slides in sideways in the back which is fine, but I had to cinch it down tight so it wouldn't bounce and it drives me crazy. I kept pushing it down lower on my hips but of course it won't stay there. I can do without carrying a drink since there will be so many water stops but I still want to be able to carry my phone for pictures.

Anyone else watching the 10 day forecast? Right now it's a low of 63 for race night. Given that temp will probably be in the wee hours of the morning and not at race time I'm a little nervous. Is 65-68 degrees in the dark hot? No. But it's not exactly what I was hoping for either. I did do some hot weather running this summer but my body has acclimated to our cooler temps this fall up here. On the other hand, we will not be freezing our butts off waiting at the start and it looks like it will be dry.

"Dry" has a way of being irrelevant at WDW... Especially for night races, the massive humidity will have me soaked either way.

Shhhhh. Don't say the "H" word.... I was referring to the "R" one!

And it could be 50 degrees out there with 0% anything and I'd still be soaked. I'm going to need a full change of clothes for the after party without a doubt.

Definitely keeping my eye on the forecast. I guess i will pack a variety of tops, just in case. I cannot imagine needing a long sleeve unless it gets down into the 40's. I'm dressing as Minnie Mouse. What color of top does she usually wear? I've seen black tops and white tops. Ill being with me long sleeve, short sleeve, and a tank top as well. Depending on how hot it is during the day, the asphalt can really soak up the heat and still be emitting that during the night races.

You guys are all making me laugh. I must be part reptile as I think anything below 80 is freezing! I was just up at WDW last weekend and it was breezy (thanks Sandy) but the humidity was nothing. This time of year is typically beautiful temp and humidity wise. It's supposed to hit 80 this afternoon and 70's tonight for the big Miami/VA Tech game (GO CANES!!), but I'll keep an eye on it for all you polar bears. Like mentioned previously, you'll have to take what I think is comfy with a grain of salt as I'm always cold... I'm definitely wearing a long sleeve Under Armor cold gear top (ok, ok, you can stop laughing at me now) and plan on getting a "disposable" hoodie for that night for the start.

Been watching the 10 forecast too. I can't decide what to wear. My tank with sleeves was originally planned. (Planned on taking off the sleeves during the race though.) I guess I'm going to go buy a long sleeve to possibly wear. I like a light, long sleeve in the 50's. 60's and sunshine - a tank is fine. Did that yesterday. Low 60's and dark and I might be a little chilly. Oh, the last minute decisions..... We leave a week from today! It's almost here!

Well, keep in mind that sunset is at 4:30 or something like that. You'll be getting on a bus in the dark.

If there's anything I've learned weatherwise down here, is expect anything minute to minute. It can be sunny one minute, pour like crazy, and then sunny again 10 minutes later . I'd say prepare for anything. Can't go wrong with layers.

I'm definitely planning on a tank still, but I do still need to get some sort of throw-away long sleeve top to wear beforehand. I ran in the dark in 63 degrees last week in shorts and a tank and was comfortable so I think that's my plan. As long as it doesn't precipitate, I'm happy.

This weekend though it's supposed to be 48 for a high and that's the warmest it will get before the race. Brrrrr!

Now to work on staying awake for the late start!

It's all about my favorite thing...nappy time!! I'm thinking a nice couple of hours downtime, get up around 4-5, grab light dinner (pasta? protein?) and over to Epcot around 7ish.

It is really down to the wire! At this time next Thursday, I will be on my plane about to take off. I feel like this next week is going to drag, yet at the same time I am wondering where the heck time has gone. So crazy the time is just about here!!
