Adding dining plan to DVC rental with Disney Rewards Card?

I have quite a few dollars saved up through using my Disney Visa, and I am considering renting a DVC unit for my upcoming trip. I am wondering about the process of adding a dining plan to a stay for a rental. Can I pay myself or does the member have to pay? I want to be able to use my rewards card to pay for the dining. Is this possible?

Thanks a ton!

Only the member can contact DVC to add the dining plan. It must be done at least 48 hours prior to your arrival date and must be paid for in full at the time it's added to the room reservation. They do accept Disney Reward Dollars for payment, but you would need to give the owner the card numbers for them to give to DVC to process the payment.

I suggest rather then giving the rewards card number to the member you have a three way conference call with MS, the owner and yourself. You can then provide your number directly to MS.

If you have the reservation number you can call Disney directly to add dining vs having to go through Member Services. You don't need to go through DVC to add.

I didn't think that was true because its only through DVC that they won't try to tell you that you need a Disney Resorts package to add the dining plan.

The regular Disney reservation center can't touch a DVC reservation. The only way is to call DVC.

I'm kinda in the same boat. We booked with a DVC rental, but instead of adding the dining plan I just want to add ADR's. Can I just do that myself?

ADRs, yes. You can calling the main dining line (407-WDW-DINE) or book them on-line at disneyworld.com/dining.

This is not correct, only DVC Member Services can deal with a DVC reservation.

Thanks, that's what I was hoping.
