Port orleans to sea world
Wanted to surprise my wife and 3 year old son with a trip to sea world, the day we arrive in Orlando. But we are staying in disney. Our plane arrives at 11am. Looking for suggestions and help on tickets and transportation if this is possible. Thanks

We have taken the city bus one year and a taxi this year. The taxi (with tip) was about $30 each way from POP to Sea World's door. The bus was a lot cheaper, under $10 and they pick up at the TTC and DTD, drop off right outside the gate (think parking in the last spot in the main few rows), pick up across the street, and drop back off at the pick up spots. The taxi was nice, but with the price, we will prob stick to the city bus.

We used the Mears shuttle to go from Port Orleans to Sea World. It was $19 a person roundtrip, and your son would be free since he is 3. They picked us up right in front of the hotel. It was very convenient.
You might want to think about whether you have enough time to see everything at Sea World on your arrival day. By the time you get there, you probably won't be able to see all the shows and attractions. We got there at 9 a.m., and we spent a whole day there seeing all the shows and exhibits (we didn't do the thrill rides since we had a three year old.) |

We just took a taxi last week to Sea World from AOA, it was $24 one way and then add whatever tip you want. There were 4 of us. We were going to do the Mears Shuttle but discovered from AOA Taxi person out front this was cheaper. And so nice because then we could leave when we wanted to and didn't have to make other stops. Leaving Sea World by Taxi was a breeze too.

Took the city bus from POR many years ago. We took Disney transportation to TTC and then the bus from there. It took a very long time. Our bus stop was the first one at POR so we always had to travel around the resort before we left and then that particular bus went to POFQ as well before we got to the MK. Took the monorail to the TTC and then finally the city bus. The bus driver didn't make change and every time we picked people up it was an ordeal. I think it was under two hours before we got there. It didn't make for a great start to our day.
I'm sure there are better ways to do this than what we did. For starters I would take a taxi from now but if I had to take the bus I would take the boat from POR to DTD and then taken the city bus from there. At the time I didn't know the city bus went into DTD.
