Awesome surprise! DD is 40.5" tall and I had no idea!

I thought she was around 38" or maybe 39", but we meaured her (barefoot!) today and she is a good half-inch over 40"! Our trip is just over a month away now and I am so excited that we'll be able to ride some of the bigger rides as a family!

The trip is a surprse, so both of my daughters were looking at me like I was nuts when I was SO excited to see how tall she is!

We have always measured out kids by Disney rides!

"Good news you are Big Thunder Mountain Tall!"

Even at the doctors office they would ask "What ride tall is that mama?"

Congrats to her! I love the magical milestones!

AWESOME!

My son just missed (by less than 1/2 inch!) the 40 inch mark when we were there in May... Looking forward to taking him on the bigger rides this next time around! Splash mountain especially but I know he'll also love big thunder and star tours!!

Enjoy your trip!!

Woot! I was just coming to see if I could find out the magical height! We are just starting to plan our trip for March. My son was 41 inches last month at Silver Dollar City. So glad he's tall enough for some of the bigger Disney rides!

Ahhh- I remember the day we realized DD hit 40 inches. It was a big day at our house! She ran screaming with joy down the hall! Congratulations!!!!!!

I highly recommend Soarin for the just hit 40 crowd- we told DD she was flying like Peter Pan- she got off and corrected us that it was more like Diego because it was a hang glider.

We just realized DD (6) was 48 inches this week- RNRC height. That got a different reaction. This time she said "OHHHHHH NOOOOOOO"....she is afraid we will make her try RNRC!

Just because you have a half an inch to spare, still practice standing up straight. It can make a difference.

I laughed when I read this because we had this same thing going on in our house. We told my kids we couldn't go back to Disney until my youngest daughter was 40". When she reach 40", there was a party in my house. We will be in Disney in December and she is so ready to ride the "big rides."

Yay! I totally understand that feeling We realized the other week that DD1 is past the Space Mountain mark, and I haven't been back on it since before I was pregnant. Yippee!
