Listening to old shows in the archives

I started listening to the podcast a while ago but wanted to go further back. I went to the archives page and started downloading the shows from the beginning of the year, but got stumped on the last two weeks of February. For some reason I cannot download the "full show" for those editions, or the following two edition in March. When I click on the links it says "error", and when I try to download it, there is no content.

Also, when downloading the new shows (like the most recent ones), how do I get the FULL SHOW? I prefer it all in one lump sum if possible instead of having to separately download each segment.

I found the Archive page to be less than reliable. I ended up installing iTunes and then downloading all the episodes, then I simply transferred them over to the program I use for my device.

I also prefer the single d/l, but they have multiple and I understand why. Some times people just want to hear one segment or be able to search out one segment.

Pete stopped providing the new shows in full a few months ago. I assume the archive page hasn't been updated with the links to the full shows.

If the archive link isn't working for individual episodes, you can download individual episodes from the rss feed page http://disunplugged.libsyn.com/rss.

As said above, the only ones that you'll still get in Full Show format is the pre-2010 ones which were only recorded that way. When they moved over to libsyn, the removed the full shows. I'm guessing because they would mess up the statistics.

And to make things a little easier to read, take off the RSS so that it's in a nice layout!

There seems to be about 4 different ways to view the podcast archives.

Sorry I'm dumb, but I've been going back to listen to old shows. I'm up to Oct. 2008, but there's a gap in my itunes from 10/2008 - 2010. When I tried to download right from the archives, it just opened the podcast to listen in a new window. What am I doing wrong?

As far as iTunes goes, I can't help you because I don't use it.

If you're going from the archives, you can right-click and hit either 'Save Target As...' or 'Save Link As...' (depending on your browser). Then it will download the mp3 which you can either drag into iTunes or sync to your media player.

First, in iTunes, try right mouse clicking (if you are using a pc) on the podcast (not an episode) and select "show all available episodes." That should show all the episodes including the ones you want to download.

Second, try Andy's method.
