Back up to speed, once again! Sorry I haven't commented in awhile. I say do not underestimate the powers of High School. Seriously! But I loved reading all your updates. So glad to hear someone on the DIS enjoys the Vacation films (sorry, but Christmas Vacation is the best...
) and Miss NeNe Leakes as much as I do along with Ramona and the housewives like I do (yes, I'm a fan... shhhhh...) though I will say Beverly Hills and the OC is where it's at for me, but NeNe is too awesome to be ignored! Anyways, your updates have got me getting all Disney giddy whilst laughing at the same time (THE SQUIRREL!)! Can't wait to read more!

Your upcoming trip sounds awesome!!! Love your food choices at Food and Wine- I can't wait to hit it up next year!
I have to tell you- I had the cappuccino cupcake at Pizza Planet this August when we were there- DELISH. Oh my gosh, I think it was the best cupcake (of the six I had! haha!!!!) It was soooo good. |

Don't feel bad about your Christmas trip. Oh man, those decorations + Holiday Illuminations + Osborne Lights + all the other Christmas stuff is so worth it! I'm sad I'm missing Disney during the holidays this year but hopefully next year I can go back during that time! I give you permission to write about the Polynesian if you so desire! There you go, permission granted from the Queen! ![]() Quote:
Thank you so much!! Glad you're still enjoying ![]() Quote:
OMG really?? Better than the cupcakes at Starring Rolls???? I can't believe it. I was wondering if maybe they bake the Cappuchino cupcakes in the same place as the Starring Rolls ones and then just move them to Pizza Planet cause I was hoping it would be just as good as the ones they serve there. Ahhh I can not wait to try it!

Joni and I are pretty much definitely going next October so yeah! I'm sure I will too, hahaah! ![]() YES PLEASE DO! And ya know what? For some reason I didn't even think of the fact that you'd need a wig! I don't even know what I was thinking but yeah, that would NOT be ideal. So now of course I'm super curious about who you're dressing up as... but I can't wait to find out!

I don't think the Boardwalk Bakery is as good... I agree. Though I do LOVE the Safari/Zebra Cupcake at AK. I definitely will! I'm planning on doing a full out dining report. Quote:
Yeah, I do have blonde hair... but not long enough, I'd def have to go all out with the wig. So yeah... not so comfy for MNSSHP. My actual costume is PERFECT though! I can't wait to share it with everyone!!

REALLY?!
![]() One Man's Dream is so emotional... it really makes you think about how much Walt did and how much we could be missing out on if he hadn't. I shudder at the thought! Okay, the SAME THING happens to me all the freaking time. I can be so tired that I can't even form coherent thoughts and when I finally get into bed it's like my brain took a 5-hour energy or something. Ugh. It happened to me on my most recent Disney trip so I sympathize. So not fun. 9 days!!!!

9 DAYS UNTIL YOU ARE IN DISNEY OH MY GOD.
Pizza Planet has a cappuccino CUPCAKE?! Why hasn’t anyone told me about this before?!?! I ALWAYS tear up in One Man’s Dream. I love how Disney has that. I just can’t stand the people who walk through there and don't even care. I always read everything and see the movie every trip. Never gets old. I hear ya about being so tired. I have totally gotten like that before but food always cures the sleepiness. Oh wait. Food cures everything… |

THE SINGLE DIGIT DAYS ARE THE BEST!!! We are all UBER excited for you!!!!
You have not even finished this TR and I already cannot wait to read your next one!! Please do include a costume pic, the whole Disney nerd nation is speculating what the Queen of the Poly will be wearing. I think it is great that you will be able to have a couple of solo days in the parks. Touring solo is something I have always wanted to be able to try, but have not had the chance to experience. Being able to do whatever you want, whenever you want and not having to worry about anyone else must be great!! HAVE A GREAT TRIP!!!!!!!!!! awdwnut |

8 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree. It always really strongly reminds me that I have to follow my dreams. Well, all of Disney in general does that, but especially One Man's Dream! Ahh... it's the worst. I'm hoping I can feel more rested on our upcoming trip! But... lbr... that's not likely. Quote:
I don't know, but now you know!! Put it on your Cupcake List!!! Oh my gosh, I know. I hate when people just brush it off as boring or something b/c it's not a ride or a show. Umm it's the history of the very place you are standing in, silly people. FOOD CURES EVERYTHING is so true!!! Quote:
Aww thank you! I can't wait to start the next TR too! And I will... I plan on including a lot of pics, don't worry! I will post a pic of my costume when we get back since if I wait until that point in the TR to reveal it, it will take months. I can't keep the Disney nerd nation waiting that long!!! My royal subjects!!! <3 Yes, the solo days will be lovely. I do tend to tire myself out even more than usual when I'm solo though, so like I said I will have to make it a point to relax! Ahh I can't wait! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

DECEMBER 12, 2011
Day 8, Part 5 In Which Hot Cast Members and Free Hummus Cheer Me Up Despite still being kinda down in the dumps, the Livin It Up could not and would not stop, so I changed clothes and took a bus to Downtown Disney to return the tights I purchased earlier in the trip while Mom hung back at Pop to rest for a little bit. We had plans to meet up at Epcot after an hour or so. ![]() This is a terrible pic, but the lights remind me so much of Stacey that I had to post it anyway! It had been four years since I've been to the West Side at night, and it was awesome! I mean, how could it not be, with all the ABSOLUTELY GIGANDO names in entertainment and all? It improved my mood a bit, although, obviously I wished I was there with someone. It was so lively and busy, with people everywhere and bands playing, all the stores and restaurants hopping... it was just a really great vibe. If I was a local, I'd be there all the time to eat and get a drink and hang with friends. I've canceled so many ADRs over there in favor of more overly Disneyish things, but I don't think I'll do that in the future. On my BFF trip with Lee-Anne, we're spending a late night there, and I'm really looking forward to it. ![]() This was so cute. That woman was singing classics like "I Will Survive" and "Respect" and these kids were dancing like CRAZY. Oh they were so into it. I loved it! Somewhere around this time, Kara (MarieTheCat24), Jess (Disneyfreak508), and I were talking on Twitter. We decided we were going to start a Stacey fan club called "CA-LASS-IC So Wham So Boom: The Stacey Fan Club"... if anyone wants to join. There is going to be a pretty strict application process. True Stacey lovers ONLY!!!!!!! I returned the tights at Apricot Lane with no problem, and then went to catch a bus over to the Beach Club, so I could hang out there and then walk over to Epcot. ![]() ![]() The Beach Club is one of my favorite resorts, so I've spent a good amount of time there. However, like the rest of Disney, I had never seen it at Christmas, so I was quite excited about all the decorations. ![]() Oh my goodness, the smell when I walked in there... I can not even describe how wondrous it was. It ALWAYS smells good at the Beach Club, but with the gingerbread, it added a whole other level of amazing onto the already glorious smell. ![]() ![]() Gingerbread shop comes complete with high tech gingerbread TVs!!! ![]() I loved all the individual gingerbread men on each panel! After looking around some more and inhaling deeply, I headed out of the hotel and onward to the International Gateway. ![]() ![]() ![]() My mom wasn't quite to Epcot yet, so I wandered the WS a bit... enough to enjoy the ambiance and look at a few things, but not really stopping anywhere for long. I knew my mom would be in Future World soon, and I didn't want to make her wait. ![]() ![]() ![]() Of coooourse, I got distracted and sidetracked by alcohol and boys. Shocking. That never happens! I got a glass of wine in France, which was unfortunately sold to me by a female. I was going to visit my French boyfriend from the other day BUT I FELT SO AWKWARD ABOUT IT. Like even though he told me twice that I should come by, I felt like a weirdo being all like OH HI, YOU CALLED ME A PRINCESS THE OTHER DAY, HERE I AM BACK AGAIN LUCKY YOU. So I just kind of walked by where he works and peeked in... I didn't see him, soooo I just left. Let's all say it together, folks: F-R-U-M-P. ![]() So, then I met a guy in Morocco. He was standing in front of the Tangerine Cafe alone, all smiley and looking content with life. He was really cute. Not just b/c of his physical appearance, but he had a very sunny disposition. I LOVE people who are not yet jaded and annoyed with life. As I was walking by, he said hello and struck up a conversation with me immediately. One of the first things he said to me was, "This is the HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH!!!!" Obviously, I agree. He asked where I was from, when I told him I was from New Jersey, he said "Oh, I've been right by there!" and I said, "Oh yeah, where?" He replied, "Boston!" That made me laugh because I live four hours from Boston. So I wanted to be like... well, that's not really "right by" me. But I guess when you're from Morocco, it is! Perspective. He then asked me if I'd ever been to Morocco (no) and if I've ever had Moroccan food (not really). He said I should come in and eat at the Tangerine Cafe. I said I would, but I was on my way to meet someone. He said I would really like it and that the food there is pretty authentic to what he has at home and is very good. I told him that I love hummus (which they have at the Tangerine Cafe) and he said "Oh! I'll go get you some!" and disappeared INSTANTLY. It was SO funny. Like I didn't even have time to say anything, he just immediately went to go get some. I didn't know whether to follow him inside or not, he was gone so quickly... I just kind of stood in the doorway awkwardly. He came out with a little container filled with hummus and said, "Here you go! Hummus for you!" It was so sweet! Free hummus from a cute boy. What could be better really? Men of the world who would like to woo me: If you bring me free food, you are ten steps ahead of everyone else. I thanked him and told him it would make a great snack for later. "Yes! Enjoy it!" he said, and on I continued in my World Travels. In Italy, I got another glass of wine. Sold to me by another woman. Sigh. Hey, I'm all about Girl Power, but when it comes to the World Showcase, I would rather associate with the male models they hire. She was nice though, and helped me choose one since I had no idea what to pick. Honestly, unless wine is REALLY REALLY cheap and bad, like bottom of the barrel crap, I usually like less expensive kinds just as much as the top of the line wines... new wines just as much as aged ones... so I'm not much of a connoisseur is what I'm saying. Wine is just a good thing in general is my point. Anyway, I can't remember what kind I got in Italy or France... but both were very good, and surprisingly inexpensive. I think they were like $6 or $7 each, which surprised me since the wine at Rose & Crown was $10. Is expensive wine a thing in the UK? It can't be any more a thing than it is in France or Italy... right? I know nothing about this. I will just have to assemble a panel of English/British, French, and Italian Cast Members to discuss this topic when I am at Disney World in 8 DAYS!!!!! I also bought some delicious Italian chocolates... ![]() French wine + Italian wine + Italian chocolates = MOOD IMPROVEMENT. Then... Germans. Oh, the Germans. k:I went into Karamel Kuche INNOCENTLY!!! Just to take a look!!! Not expecting to have a flirt-a-thon. I WAS JUST LOOKING!!!! There were two ABSOLUTELY PERFECT German guys behind the counter. I'm telling you, if Ralph Lauren had walked in there, these guys would have been hired for the Fall 2012 campaign immediately. I asked them a lot of questions even though I am not a big fan of caramel and really did not plan on ordering anything. I can't remember much as I was in a love-induced daze, but I think the conversation went something like this: Me: Oh my God. German #1: Hallo! Me: Oh my God. German #2: Hi! Me: Oh......my God. You are perfect. German #1: No you are. German #2: Are you an angel? Me: I love you. Both Germans In Unison: I love you! German #1: Hey, I saw her first! German #2: You did not. I did! Both Germans: *Fighting in German* Me: I love you. Both Germans: *Fighting in German Over Me* Me: Boys, boys. Please! There is enough of me to go around. German #1: Marry me. German #2: NO, MARRY ME! Me: Let's all just calm down. I'm sure we can find a way to sort this out. Both Germans: *More Fighting In German* Me: *Dreamy Sigh* German #1: I've never seen someone so gorgeous! *My mom texts me saying she is in Epcot* Me: Oh gosh, I've got to go! German #2: No. Please stay! German #1: Stay here, angel! Goddess!!!! Me: I must go! I'm sorry! German #1: No! Princess!!! German #3: Who is this stunning woman? She must be mine!!!!!!! German #1 and #2: NO! SHE'S MINE!!!!!!!!! *3-Man German Brawl Over My Hand In Marriage* Me: Ack...I just... I've got to....WE'LL SETTLE THIS LATER!!!!!! Whew. That was a very accurate portrayal of what happened. I mean, it's like you're there. It was really something. Needless to say, that woke me up. I was in a much better mood, and ready to enjoy our second to last night at Walt Disney World! Up Next: Will we EVER get tired of late night MK marathons???

Awwww, buying Baby's First Mickey Ears! Love it.
F&W is a beautiful thing, absolutely. I always wish I could go every year, but it's not typically in the cards. I like your top 15 must do's at F&W. Very very good choices. I still call it MGM. I only call it DHS to be official on the DIS. It will forever be MGM to me. I often run out of ways to describe my TSM experiences too. They do normally end in tears though, because I'm wiping the floor with someone. Oh dear god, the needing to sleep, but then once you actually get the ability to sleep, you can't "thing"? Drives me insane! I would totally be willing to be an inaugural member of the "CA-LASS-IC So Wham So Boom: The Stacey Fan Club". Because seriously....who DOESN'T love Stacey? Distracted by alcohol and boys? Noooo! Free hummus from a cute boy? Absolutely! That definitely sounds like a very accurate portrayal of what likely went down in Karamel Kuche. Very nice. Very very nice.
