Frustrated and venting
DH and I planned on diving while in Cabo through Disney and we thought it would be offered since it shows the excursion time as 3 hrs and we are in port for 5 hrs.. We were disappointed when one of the Platinum cruisers (LindaBabe?) posted the excursions offered and it wasn’t listed. And it indeed wasn’t offered when we went to book our excursions. Since you can clearly tell who the dive company from the excursion photos, I thought I would contact them and book the excursion with them since they would be use to working with Disney. They got backed to me and informed me that since they work with the cruise lines, they will not book directly with the person. I then informed them Disney was not offering this excursion while we were in port. They looked into it more and they confirmed with Disney that it is indeed offered and advised me to call Disney. I checked on the website this morning and did not see it so I called Disney and after being on hold for a very long time, I was informed that it was offered but is now sold out. If it is sold out, then why isn’t it showing on the website as sold out? Other excursions are listed on the website as sold out. If it wasn’t shown as a port excursion when the platinum’s could book, then who booked it? Also, generally speaking, most divers will tend to book every dive excursion and Costa Maya isn’t sold out? I just don’t know what to think!
To add to my confusion, every other dive company I have emailed (3) keep using ship vs local time. They keep telling me that the 11:15 to 4:30 port time is in Pacific (ship) time so that will be 12:15 to 5:30 Cabo time. The private excursion gets back at 4:00PM Cabo time and if the ship is on local time, we aren’t quite sure if we want to risk only having a half hour but if the ship is on “ship” time, that gives us 1.5 hr which we are comfortable with. Disney is stressing me out! It just isn’t making any sense to me! All I want to do is dive in the Sea of Cortez and not miss my ship

For anyone thinking of LA tours, one of today's LA Groupons is 50% or more off the Starline hop-on, hop-off bus. We'll have a rental car and had a perfectly reasonable itinerary planned; however, DH likes the idea of letting someone else do most of the driving and parking. We picked up the groupon

Joining in on this cruise!
Hi everyone. We're so excited to be joining all of you on this EBPC cruise. We did the WBPC in January 2011 and decided it would be great to take the same ship back the other way. It will be me (Heather) and DH Mike. This will be our 7th Disney cruise - #6 is later this month on the Fantasy for my birthday.
We'd also like to join in the FE exchange. Heather |

I thought we moved the clocks to match the local time to avoid this kind of confusion. All I know is that I think I will be crazy mixed up when it comes to what time it is.Tammy |

Good Morning, Happy Cruisers!
Loved the LaBrea tar pits museum and the farmers market. There are wonderful trains in Griffith park, but unless you're a train nut like we are, I dunno if you'd want to spend the time at it. Even though reports haven't been all that favorable, I think I'm sticking to my original plan to spend Saturday right in San Pedro. There's a little beach and aquarium, and a light house, and proximity to the sea. Happy Day, all!

SCUBA Diving Cabo
After contacting many local dive shops, I found a company that was willing to work with me and the time works with whatever time we are one (ship or local)
If there are any divers out there looking to dive Cabo, here is the information. Please feel free to join us! Diving in Cabo peaks in November, so diving should be pretty great still in mid-December. If interested, let me know and I will send them your email address for the paypal invoice for the deposit. Info is: Sunshine Dive and Charter 1 Tank Dive Tuesday December 11th, 13:30 to 15:30. $65 with out equipment, $80 with all equipment. Price includes photo CD of dive photos. Trip advisor reviews are great! Their full response is below: We are located right at the Cabo San Lucas Marina only a 5 minute walk away from the cruise ship dock. We offer five dives a day 7 days a week in small groups: 2-tank morning dives from 8:30 - 13:00 2-tank afternoon dives from 13:30 - 17:30 1-tank night dive from 19:00 - 21:00 It look like your ship schedule does not allow you to do a 2-tank dive but we can offer you a 1-tank dive from 13:30 - 15:30. The price for a 1-tank dive is $65 US (tanks and weights included) or $80 US all equipment included. There are six different dive sites located in the Cabo San Lucas Marine Protected Area, home of the famous sand-falls and the sea-lion colony. Our personal attention to our divers includes diving in small groups, divided by experience. Our diving service includes the use of a dive computer for free. Upon request we also include at no additional charge Nitrox for certified enriched air divers. Furthermore, we offer a free underwater photography service. Our dive guides take pictures of you diving and provide you with a photo CD for free. While diving with us you can leave your equipment with us, making your logistics simpler. Located to the rear of the center is our fresh water cleaning and drying areas. Our team will handle the process of cleaning, drying and storing your equipment for you during the duration of your experience with us. Located next to the cleaning area is a hot shower for you to rinse off in after the dive. All our prices are in US dollars and include taxes. To secure your reservation we ask for $30 US deposit per person. If you are ready to make a reservation, please let me know for what day and time and any special requests. I will send you a Paypal payment request, you do not need to be a registered Paypal user, you can make the deposit 'as a guest' using your credit card. The balance is due on your diving day at the center, we accept VISA, MC and offer 5% discount for cash payments in USD or Pesos. Please feel free to let me know if you have any further questions, I want to make sure you are well prepared to have some great diving adventures here with us. If you are interested in what people have to say about us please read our diver reviews at tripadvisor. http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attractio...alifornia.html Best regards, Lars Helten Sunshine Dive & Charter Cabo San Lucas / Mexico Tel: +52 624 105 1793 info@divecabo.com |
