The cold fish seemed a bit weird as a breakfast food but the saltiness of the smoked salmon really complimented the sweetness of the rest of the breakfast food. Hope your wedding prep is going well. The big day is fast approaching.

Day 2: Our Home and Native Land
Soundtrack:
Canada area music Time for our THIRD!!! dining review of our trip (and it's only day 2). We really love food (which may explain why we are now on the Weight Watchers program). So for this dining review we go back to our home and native land in Canada. We had booked this lunch ADR a full 180 days in advance because it was one of our regrets from our first trip that we hadn't tried it. We arrived to Canada ahead of our dining time of 2:45pm so we explored the pavilion a bit. Inside the gift shop we where congratulated for our honeymoon and asked to sign the guest book for Canadian visitors to the Canadian pavilion (and got TWO Mickey Stickers that we quickly stuck on our head). We then made our way to the beautiful Le Cellier. The check in desk is at the front of the pavilion and you walk down to the restaurant. Once there we played some Canada trivia games in the quite small lobby area. We where seated relatively quickly. The inside is very nice. My only complaint is that we where seated at a small two person table that was almost glued onto another table so we felt like we where having lunch with them. Thankfully the CM waitress was great and really made us feel like we where having lunch on our own. ![]() ![]() ![]() ok enough about the experience. How was the FOOD???? (I know that's what you guys are thinking :P ) First, Here are the alcoholic drinks available at Le Cellier. The first thing to arrive at our table was this miraculous plate. ![]() I can't tell you about the other bread, but the Pretzel bread was delicious. Just hard enough on the outside but very nice and soft on the inside with just enough salt on the outside. It was also very good with.... ![]() Cheddar Cheese Soup. I had heard so much about this soup! People LOVE this soup....and now I understand why. It has a good cheese taste without being too strong and the bacon and beer add just the right flavor to it. Not too long after this delicious thing was placed in front of me. ![]() This is the mushroom fillet mignon with mushroom risotto. I asked for mine medium rare. Here is a picture of the inside. ![]() Now I LOVE anything mushroom and this did NOT disappoint. It was delicious, off the scales, hands down the best steak I have ever had. The steak had a good taste of mushroom to it and it MELTED in my mouth it was so tender. The risotto was also very good and had a strong mushroom taste to it. My wife is not a fan of mushrooms and did not enjoy it as much as I did. So it's a good thing that she had the New York Strip with creme cheese mashed potatoes. Unfortunately I took this horrible photo. ![]() Here is one from the DisneyFoodBlog Jess also LOVED her steak. It had a Montreal Steak Spice type of taste to it and was also melt in your mouth tender. She also ordered her's medium rare. The creme cheese mashed potatoes where delicious as well ( I can vouch for that since I tried to steal hers haha). Overall the steak at Le Cellier was delicious and worth the effort to book 180 days in advance. For Dessert I had the "Nanaimo bar". ![]() I add the quotation marks because it is by no means comparable to a real creamy and crunchy homemade nanaimo bar. That being said it was a good dessert but not my favorite of the trip. I might of been a bit too full from the full steak I had just eaten to enjoy it but that didn't stop me from enjoying Jess's dessert. The maple Creme Brulé. ![]() This was a very good way to finish the meal. It was a light dessert with just enough of a maple taste to it. ![]() Overall impression: I loved our experience at Le Cellier. My only complaint about the restaurant was that the tables where a bit too close to one another. Other than that the food was incredible and so was the service. It is now part of our must do list. Since I still have room for a few more pictures. Here are a few more from our Epcot day. Also BONUS SONG: Run Run Away Enjoy! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks for reading! Hope it won't be as long before the next update. What did you guys think of Le Cellier?

The 'bonus' song you posted is originally sung by the band my soon to be father-in-law works for, which I think is kind of cool (or at least I know of it because of this band)! Also, the first link for the song took me back to the main page of your TR...dunno if that was on purpose or not??
![]() I loved your review of Le Cellier. ![]() Still loving all the pictures! :

I'm loving your trip report! My partner and I are going in December (our second trip to WDW together) and cannot wait.
I just hope I am as lucky as you were and get a king-size bed, too! Also, as far as food goes, I wish my partner and I liked the same stuff so that we could split CS meals. I'm vegan (but flexible at WDW!) and she loves chicken (and tends to order a lot of steak when we go to WDW). Whomp.

! Your trip will be coming up pretty soon! Disney looks amazing during xmas time I hope you guys love it. We where SUPER happy to see the king size bed. I am so tired at the end of a Disney day that I need my space in bed. Yeah, that does prevent plate sharing. Which is too bad because the portions are HUGE! That being said, you don't need to compromise on what your going to eat which is also nice. Thanks for joining in YAY YAY YAY you're here! I'll be making it harder for you to catch up by posting another update tonight (insert evil laugh here :P )

Day 3: Mickey's Kitchen
Soundtrack:Minnie's Yoohoo or
Newer version of the song Presenting Dining with Mickey In TECHNICOLOR by OrangeJuice Welcome to my 4th dining review (considering we are only day 3 then I think we are off to a good start). Our third day was all about the past and present of movies and animations. We started the day off by visiting a restaurant that was new to us. Our day started SUPER early by catching a cab at 6:30 because we had a ADR at 7:00AM at the Contemporary. (Now I know what you are thinking: ARE YOU CRAZY???? and the answer is Yes...yes we are.) But we needed to have an extra early breakfast if we wanted to catch Rope Drop at DHS. Anyways so where were we going? First hint: ![]() The Wave? NOPE ![]() Chef Mickey's! We checked in about 5 minutes to 7:00 and had a seat in the little waiting area. We where offered to take a photo with the statue of Mickey but I knew that we where not going to buy it so I declined. The CM pretended to be offended but did not pressure us into going. We where quickly seated and we where the first table that the characters would visit when they exited the kitchen area. Knowing this we quickly filled out plates. Now I know I'm a bad liner because I didn't take ANY pictures of the buffet area. Let's just say that there was ALOT of sugary breakfast options but not much of the salty/ heavier stuff. Here's Jess's first plate ![]() She loves her danishes and I think she could have that for breakfast every morning in Disney. Here's mine ![]() The pizza was fine and so where the hashbrowns. I loved the cheesy potatoes. The bacon wasn't great and I thought that the creme cheese blintz (or wtv they are called) where way to sweet for me (and I had donuts for breakfast the next day so that is saying something about how sweet they where). ![]() Not sure what she is showing me there but it looks interesting. The coffee was just OK btw. Soon the tallest of the fab 5 stepped out of the kitchen. ![]() ![]() ![]() A nice CM offered to take a picture of the both of us which was great. Then the head chef was out and about. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() After Mickey I made a beeline to the buffet for a second plate. ![]() Can you tell that doing weight watchers has changed my tastebuds. I looks kinda boring but those potatoes are DELICIOUS! Then we where back for my favorite duck in the whole world. ![]() ![]() Then Minnie came for a visit. ![]() ![]() Pluto came out soon after. Jess noticed this on her tag which I found hilarious. ![]() A big hug ![]() ![]() ![]() After having met all of the Fab 5 and eating a satisfying breakfast we where ready to go to DHS. We went downstairs to the bus stop and watched the DHS bus pull in and pull away faster then a speeding bullet. It didn't stop and wait a few minutes like they usually did at POP. We waited a good while before another bus for DHS pulled up then we made an extra stop at the Poly before heading to DHS. From our limited experience using Deluxe resort buses I was surprised by how often the buses where shared between many resorts. Anyways, we where soon walking up to HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS ![]() ![]() Final impression of Chef Mickey's: The food was fine, the service was quick but it wasn't anything special. I found the theming to be a bit boring. I don't think that we will be returning to Chef Mickey's anytime soon.

Wow, Arkershus is such a pretty restaurant! If I didn't mind characters I would totally want to eat there. I'd never seen an inside picture of it before.
So many mixed drinks |

We went to akershus but late for breakfast. It wasn't great. I definitely think the earlier breakfast is a etter choice. Especially after reading your review.

Yeah, i find the theme and food choices at CM to be a bit standard as well. I haven't ever been for that reason. If I am going to meet the fab 5, I will do it at Tusker House!

A great dining review, we had the same thoughts about it. SO MUCH sugary foods for breakfast, I'm not a fan of sugar hahaha. I prefer salt.

Day 3: Off to Hollywood
Soundtrack: Hooray for Hollywood
Hey Friends I have made a discovery this morning. There is a photobucket exporter for iphoto. I no longer need to upload everything and resize after because the exporter does it automatically. So what does this mean? More pictures in more posts! Awesome!!! Ok back to our regularly schedule programming. Today we are visiting my favorite park. I think DHS is often somewhat overlooked by visitors because it doesn't have that many rides. Recently, someone commented online that if they had to sit through one more show they where gonna lose it. Well that hit me right in the heart so here is the reasons why I love DHS/a day at DHS (in 150 pictures...) with a AOA interlude. Let's start off with the philosophy of MGM/DHS. ![]() Hollywood Studios represents the idea of Hollywood, the glory days that everyone loves to imagine. We started out our morning with a walk down Hollywood blvd and then we took a right down Sunset blvd. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() As you can tell we where amongst the first in the pack but we decided not to head down towards Toy Story Mania. See even though we arrived 30 minutes before park opening we knew that by the time we went to Pixar place to grab fast passes we would of missed out on precious time on our favorite ride. Instead of joining the mad dash we took a leisurely stroll down to TOWER OF TERROR (We borrowed this strategy from Teeka who wrote about it in her PTR this summer, it worked great). So here we are approaching the HOLLYWOOD TOWER HOTEL ![]() I LOVE how the whole of Sunset blvd plays out to increase the suspense associated with TOT. I get the same kind of feeling when I approach Splash from Liberty Square area. The ride building looks so ominous and high. It really dominates the skyline. Also I need to share something awesome that I found out about the entryway to TOT. Now I'm sure everyone has gone by the big stone structures that house the washroom and the fastpass kiosk for TOT but have you ever wondered about their origin? I thought it was only to set the scene for the Hollywood Tower Hotel...but NO! it is much more then that. In true Disney fashion, they are a copy of two buildings found near the Beachwood entrance to Hollywoodland. ![]() Isn't that amazing! Even the plaques look similar ![]() ![]() I did not discover that by myself but I cannot for the life of me remember where I first read about it. If someone has a link to the article please share. Anyways here we are walking up to the Tower of Terror. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And here we are amongst the first to ride that day. I have the feeling that we where the only one to enjoy the ride that morning haha. ![]() Another reason why I love DHS. Here is Jess standing where I proposed last year. (In the pouring rain after park closing). ![]() What did we do after? ![]() Ride Again of course! ![]() That's it for now but I'll be back soon with more about my favorite park (considering that this post covered the first 20 minutes in park I think this is going to be a long day :P)
