Recommend photopass MAGIC shots

While I was at Hollywood Studios, we got a magic shot of Sebastian by the Little Mermaid show. You hold your hand out the same as you would for Tink. The photographer did say that they are adding more magic shots because people are complaining about the same old "tired" ones.

We were offered this option by a few photographers but that was bac in 2008. Hoping to duplicate in January when we return.

We were lucky to have read about magic shots before our trip! I loved all of ours.

We had a great experience with photo+. When a photog saw our photopass+ card they would make a note of saying "ok! Well let's get our moneys worth and take more than a few shots!"
Which was evident when we had well over 300 photos

This is not always the case. Last week my son asked every photographer we found if they could do Magic shots. We had a great guy near the front of Epcot that took his camera off the tripod and did two shots for us. One of us holding Tink and the one holding balloons.

That is simply not true. We have got magic shots with cameras on the tripods. This last trip DD held out her hand and got Chip in front of Beauty and the Beast the camera was on a tripod. I remember because the photographer had me hold the handle so it would not tip down while she put DD in the right pose. DD has done the tinkerbell shot before and kept holding her hands that way not out like the photographer wanted.

We got a shot with the ghost driver last November. It definitely wasn't during the MNSSHP. I didn't realize it was so rare!

We were in MK today and they took shots with my kids twice. I am pretty sure both will be Tinkerbelle. We didn't ask, they just did them after the castle shots.

We were told by a photographer that they are only done by those without tripods as well.

That doesn't seem likely since not everyone's going to know about them; I got the Simba one without asking.

Just reporting what we were told. It actually always seemed a little counter-intuitive to me, because if you need to have the camera in a specific spot for a magic shot to work, you would think a tripod would ensure that would happen, but whatever. Like I said, we asked a photographer about magic shots, and this is what I got back.

It's not that you have to hold it in the right spot relative to the background but the people have to be framed at the right spot in the camera for the image to work. Having said that, certain Magic Shots like Tink are easy to frame where the tripod is set (like photogs on Main Street.)

Not all photographers can/ will do them. Some will offer. Some require certain props like a bench or a wide open space. My son just kept asking each photographer we met until we collected all of them. If you find a photographer without a line, they'll play around a lot more.
