hi we stayed at Port orlens last year rooms are nice, pools are nice, and the resturent inside offerd some nice meal selections, my only complaint was the layout of the resort. I woke up early one morning and decided to take a walk... I GOT LOST!!!! very confusing layout and i consider myself pretty good with directions, one of the employees had to drive me back to our room, my family got a good laugh at that.

We've stayed at POR and POFQ. All of our stays have been since both resorts were refurbished. At POR we've stayed in the mansions both times once in a Royal Room and once in a traditional room.
We like the theming of POR a little bit better but that's purely subjective. The main pool at POR is a little bit bigger than the pool at POFQ. We really like the Beignets at POFQ. The POFQ resort is compact so there aren't any rooms that are super far from the main building/main pool. At POR in the royal room are room was about .3 or .4 mile from the main building and pool. Our perfect moderate stay would be at POR in the Acadian House or Magnolia Terrace building.

Port Orleans-French Quarter often seems more expensive, because it's the smallest Moderate resort, so the rooms available at discounted rates get snapped up quickly. If you compare rack rates, Riverside, French Quarter, and Coronado Springs are usually the same. Caribbean Beach is usually priced slightly lower than the other Moderates, because it has smaller beds (full-size instead of queen-size).
