My husband and I took our 3 y/o GS down there this past Feb and stayed at POFQ. My outgoing little grandson immediately made friends with the doorman. Every morning when we left, the doorman would hand him one of those coins and we'd have to go back in, so my GS could throw it in the fountain, before we left for the day. Then as we walked back out past him, they'd give each other the thumbs up sign. Then we'd come back after lunch for a break and the doorman would give him another coin to throw in the fountain. Sometimes he also gave him stickers. Anyway, one day we spent all day in the parks and didn't get back until night time. My GS looked around and asked "Where's my man". We told him we were later coming in than usual and the man was probably off duty. My GS gave us a disgusted look and asked "Why would he leave? He knew I was coming back. I told him so this morning. He wouldn't leave without telling me. He's my friend." When we left out the next morning, my grandson asked, "Where where you last night? I missed you". The very nice door man apologized and told him he had an emergency, but was sorry, and he'd missed him too. He then winked at us.

Room location question?
We recently had to upgrade to a River View room to keep our free dining.
I've read that some people are bothered by the horn on the ferry boats. What would be the best location to avoid that and yet still be close to the pool? Building 6 or 1 possibly? TIA |

We've been in both Building 5 & 6 on the river and while we heard the horns, it wasn't bothersome at all. I did hear that they are more noticeable in Building 1.

Food court today updated their menu adding several new items for kids including Turkey sandwich, Tuna platter and spaghetti and meatball all for lunch. On the Adult menu in the Po' Boy section, they have also now added a Mahi sandwich. I'm sure there are some other changes, but that's what I noticed. CM checking us out apologized for the delay since she was still learning the new menu.

![]() Honestly, we have no complaints about the food court. I guess it possibly depends what kind of food you like, but we were more than happy with the selections available. We eat a lot of meals out in the parks anyway so not sure if we may have become tired of the menu had we spend more time at the resort during the day, but Riverside is just a 10 minute walk to try something different

Anyone been swimming with little ones recently? Was it easy to get a life vest? Can the kids go down the slide with one? I am getting conflicting info.
