san diego hotel w/beach view balcony
First let me say thank you for all the great info I have gotten on this board.!!!
![]() We will be flying in October into San Diego spending two nights and going to SeaWorld and LegoLand before heading up to Disneyland for our first time. (checking out of hotel before going to LegoLand) I am hoping to get some recommendations on a nice hotel in San Diego. I would LOVE to have a balcony view of the ocean. We prefer to stay below $150.00 a night. We won’t have that much time in the hotel, but would love to chill with hubby on a balcony or patio after the kiddos go to bed. |

I would try the Best Western island palms or the Humphreys half moon inn and suites on shelter island. I have stayed at the best western and it was nice. Make sure you try to book the casa marina section since this is the newest one and if you can get a 3rd floor overlooking the marina I think you would love it.
They have a great little bar with good bar tenders and a good happy hour. They will give you rides to some of the restaurants nearby. My friends always stay at Humphreys and they love it as well. Its great being on shelter island your 5 minutes from downtown San Diego your closer to sea world and the highway to legoland and it just has the beachy marina vibe to it. Plus its neat looking across the bay onto San Diego at night. If you love good burgers drive over to ocean beach and try out hoodads its amazing! It was on Triple D and I swear that it’s the best burger I have ever had. That’s saying a lot lol. |

Yes liberty station is near by. I have eaten at the slaters near DL. I like 5 guys as well but since its a huge chain i would prefer smaller operations myself. Dont forget hash house a go go as well!

Check the rates for Paradise Point. You can get a bungalow right on the beach and they have fire pits to roast s'mores at night.
To go to Sea World, you can get on a little ferry and enter through the marina on the back of the park, it's about a 15 minute ride. About a 1/2 an hour drive to Legoland.
