Online check in and room request!
Hi Everyone
![]() Just looking for a bit of advice...... We are using our DVC for the first time in 2 weeks, we have 1 week Kidani Savannah View and 1 week at Boardwalk (garden view I think)! Do we need to do online check in or is check in on arrival fine? Also, if online check in is advised, whats the benefit of doing this? If we check in online and can make a room request, I know it's only a request, where would you recommend in these locations? Having never stayed onsite before (we just took the plunge one day at DTD for DVC) we have no idea of the best locations! Iv read a few scary stories about snakes in ground floor rooms ![]() If anyone is still with me.... .......We will be buying our 14 day ultimates before we go, they come as actual tickets, do we use these for the parks or are they transferred onto our room key? Thank you all and sorry for the long post!

Hi Lisa,
I asked a similar question regarding online and requests back in February and you can find that post by clicking on the following thread-link at... http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2876286 Checking in on arrival is fine and as it's your first time as a member I would suggest doing this so to experience it. On line check in just quickens up the process. Regarding room request, as you will read in our thread, we did get the room number we had requested at Vero Beach and later at the Beach Club and those room numbers we either got through going to those resorts before and reading other posts on the Dis-Boards. As the UK members site is less regularly used when compared to the US site, why not repost your question regarding best room to request on the US site at.... http://www.disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=89 Sorry but can answer your question about transferring your tickets onto your key to the world card and that might be more quickly answered on the UK Trip Planning Forum. Best wishes for you first upcoming members vacation and good luck with your requests Quote:

Samaya
thank you so much for your reply and the links you posted! I stupidly didn't even look on the us DVC section I just came straight to the uk part and scrolled back to around mid 2009 looking for similar questions! After seeing over 300 views and no replies, I set about the rest of the Internet and found a good link to recommended rooms in Kidani Village so at least I know at check in where to maybe request if there is availability in that section! ![]() Thanks again, I appreciate you taking the time to reply

Lisa, it's a pleasure to help. When you next have a DVC question, unless it's a UK related question then you would receive more and quicker responses by placing you question on the US board. But there's nothing stopping you placing a similar question on the UK board and if you do find out some information which you think might be helpful to other UK members, new and old, then please start a new thread. That way we can discuss and learn that little bit quicker. Well, with less than 10-days to go to your first member stay we would like to wish you a magical trip-holiday-vacation.

Lisa as far as your passes are concerned it depends on the knowledge of the CM at check-in,the problem stems from there not being a US equivalent of the Ultimate pass so it's a bit "hit & miss" -we certainly had our 21Day Ultimates on our KTTW cards but we had bought the passes from Disney as part of our package. We are waiting to see if we can have our passes added this time round as we already have them in hand from ATD.
