Thanks. I'll request it then but won't hold out any hope! I don't remember VH asking us anything about what type of room we wanted when I booked (by phone). To be honest I probably wouldn't have paid a lot extra for it anyway . Keep up the great work with the website by the way.

If you check the map, you will see that parts of Buildings 2, 5, & 6 are closer to the main building than parts of Buildings 3 & 4, which are on either side of the main building. So it is really hard to say which building is closest to the main building. In comparison to other resorts, ALL the buildings at POFQ are close to the main building. This resort is nothing like the resorts that require quite a hike, or even an internal resort bus ride, to get to the main building. POFQ is small and comfortable and cozy.

Exactly! We were in the building farthest away from the main building last time and it still only took us like 2 minutes to walk to the main building!
That's why we LOVE POFQ!!!

We are still here and loving it. DH and I have already decided that as long as we are staying Value or Moderate, we will only stay here. It is great!!!

We will be very sad on Thursday when we leave.

It's finally here! DD and I are heading out for our girls only trip in the morning. One night is at ASMu and then over to POFQ on Thursday. First time staying here, but this thread has answered lots of my questions and I already feel stress free. I have GardenGrocer delivering a case of water and some other items on Thursday and they called yesterday to confirm. Now if only I could be done with all the packing.

We are heading to POFQ at the end of August and I guess we will spend a lot of time around the pool. My daughter is 4 years old and still does not swim without floaters. Should I bring my own from home or are they available on site?

Thank you!

I am really happy I was only able to get Free Dining at POFQ for a River View room after reading this forum! Last time I stayed there I was in a standard room facing the parking lot and I still loved it there, so a River View is going to be even better and more relaxing.. nothing like waking up early in the morning to a view of the Sassagoula! I cannot wait for September!!!

They have life jackets available on a first-come-first-serve basis. I would bring the floaters. My kids use the life jackets if they have one in the right size, but sometimes they are out.

We were in bldg 3 and it was an easy walk to the food court. 3 minute walk maybe. When we stay here again, I'm asking for 3 or 5 again.

Do you know if it is a requirement for non-swimmers to wear a life jacket on the slide or can they go down and be caught (I'd catch her either way!)? We weren't planning on brining a life jacket for DD but will if there is a chance she won't get to go on the slide because the jackets are out.

Not sure how they'd know to be honest. You can wait near the bottom of the slide, but I doubt they'd let people down the slide if there is someone directly at the bottom. Only one person can ride at once, regardless of age, by the way.

The water is fairly shallow near the end of the slide. I'm thinking about 3 feet or 3.5 feet. While we were there, a father would wait just off to the side of the slide and step out just in time to catch his DD. I'm not sure if there are other life guards who are more strict about being at the bottom of the slide but these life guards were fine with it.
