Does anyone have a recipe for the Pulled Pork from Epcot?

We recently got back from our first trip and fell in love with the Pulled Pork Sandwiches from Epcot. I looked around but couldn't find anything about those. They were very sweet and smokey. If anyone could point me in the right direction that would be great!

Welcome to the boards!

It would help to know where you had them.

Try following these directions. It is a Disney owned place so it is easier to get a recipe from there than some of the others.

Email address for requesting recipes from Guest Relations:
wdw.guest.communications@disneyworld.com

A tip from Tatania, who has received & posted many, many of our recipes recommends that you include the following information if you have it:
- the name of the restaurant
- the date of your visit
- your reservation number

Please note that making requests in our main thread is not the best way to go about getting that coveted recipe. The odds of someone else having the recipe & not sharing it aren't good. And although we have had several people copy our request list & take it along on their trip to WDW, the odds that your request will be fulfilled that way are also not very good.

Please note: The DIS also has a page for searching Disney menus. You can find it at: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/diningmain.cfm

The best way to find out info on Disney recipes is to post in our long running Disney Recipe thread as the collectors post/read there .

So sad just got this email

Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World® Resort.

We want to thank you for your patience while we were attempting to
obtain the recipe for the BBQ Pork Sandwich and cole slaw that you
enjoyed at the Liberty Inn during your visit.

Unfortunately, the Chef's are unable to give us this recipe for home
use. We are sorry this is not the favorable response you were
anticipating; we appreciate your understanding.

Oven-Roasted Pulled Pork Sandwiches

Ingredients
Dry Rub:

3 tablespoons paprika
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon dry mustard
3 tablespoons coarse salt
1 (5 to 7 pound) pork roast, preferably shoulder or Boston butt

Cider Vinegar Barbecue Sauce:

1 1/2 cups cider vinegar
1 cup yellow or brown mustard
1/2 cup ketchup
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
2 garlic cloves, smashed
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cayenne
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
12 hamburger buns
1 recipe Spicy Slaw, recipe follows
Pickle spears

Directions

Mix the paprika, garlic power, brown sugar, dry mustard, and salt together in a small bowl. Rub the spice blend all over the pork and marinate for as long as you have time for, as little as 1 hour or up to overnight, covered, in the refrigerator.

Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F.

Put the pork in a roasting pan and bake for about 6 hours. Basically, roast the pork until it's falling apart and an instant-read thermometer inserted into the thickest part registers 170 degrees F.

To make the barbecue sauce: combine the vinegar, mustard, ketchup, brown sugar, garlic, salt, cayenne, and black pepper in a saucepan over medium heat. Simmer gently, stirring, for 10 minutes until the sugar dissolves.

Remove the pork roast from the oven and transfer to a large platter. Allow the meat to rest for about 10 minutes. While still warm, take 2 forks and "pull" the meat to form shreds. Using 2 forks, shred the pork by steadying the meat with 1 fork and pulling it away with the other. Put the shredded pork in a bowl. Pour 1/2 of the sauce on the shredded pork and mix well to coat.

To serve, spoon the pulled pork mixture onto the bottom 1/2 of the hamburger bun, and top with the spicy slaw. Serve with pickle spears and the remaining sauce on the side.
