?? re: Sweet & Sour mini hotdogs in a crockpot

Hi all,
I signed up to bring Sweet & Sour mini hotdogs to a Halloween potluck. I can't find my recipe. Can someone answer my questions?

I believe the recipe is:
1 bottle chili sauce
1 small jar of grape jelly

I feel that I am missing something. Maybe a tablespoon of ketchup??

I forgot if I need 1 or 2 packages/pounds of mini hotdogs for this recipe.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

I have used that recipe before it works or you can use a bottle of BBQ sauce (instead of the chilli sauce if you want it to be a little milder). I think I normally have added 2 bags but it depends on the size of your crockpot as well.

I do something similar with chili sauce, cranberry sauce and pre made meat balls. I made this for a wrestling tournament coaches room and won the price for best dish! It literally takes 30 sceonds to dump it all in the crockpot and you are done. Amazingly good!

I have used both chili/grape jelly and chili/cranberry, I add 1 tablespoon lemon juice to both. I might add, slices of smoked sausage are really good in either one too!

I know I'm a little late since Halloween is over, but growing up my dad use to make sweet & sour hot dogs. He used grape jelly and yellow mustard. It was so easy but sooo good.

I've added pineapple chunks to this recipe. It was very good.
