There are days when I wish I could be home when everyone else is at work. But then I'll get 4 days off in a row and by the fourth day I'm so bloody bored that I want to go back to work! I can see how you feel the way you do. Never feel worthless though. You can't help the fact that your body is broken and still healing. Let people think what they want but don't let it influence how you feel about yourself. You have all the medical records to back up your current state so hopefully it will all be fine. Let's hope corporate will see it the same way I do I hope you will be alright going to Disney too. Look forward to hearing about what your work says. Keep smiling!

Totally agree here, in no way should she feel worthless! You are right on with everything you said. I have nothing to add - just totally agree!

In my personal experience, wheelchairs < scooters. I did a wheelchair once, back in 2002, and having to have somebody push me everywhere made me CRAZY. I felt like suuuuch an burden.

That's the main reason I've opted for the scooter ever since, I need to have my independence. I need to be able to run around (or roll around, as the case may be) to look at things or shop or get fast passes all on my own, while Ron takes a smoke break or waits in line for Dole Whips or whatever else the day throws our way.

And. You know. Scooter races. You better be ready to put your pink slip where your mouth is, because I'm PRO at this stuff.

You do know scooters get to go to the front

My mom and BIL both have scooters goin down there right now and they get to go to the front of the line. Just a little insentive it works just like a fast pass and you get to take someone with to help you on the ride. They are havin scooter races too and having a ball.

Finally got all caught up again. It has been crazy around here, and I am not even going on a trip soon! Just the normal every day stuff.
When I saw that picture of Fahlulah,I laughed! The look on her poor face seems to be one of shame...haha. It reminded me when Kaitlyn painted our cat blue with her finger paints...of course she was only 3 at the time...haha.Reese is a character. I bet her and Kaity would get along..they both have a fun and sarcastic sense of humor.

Your tress are so lovely! I love the country rustic look. So cozey.I also loved the t shirts you made...you really are artisitc Ty! I can't do anything like that, although I do love scrapbooking as you do! I wish I had more time to work on it though.I am like 3 years worth of memorable events that need to be scrapbooked.

Ty,I understand not wanting to have to use a scooter while at Disney,so I was thinking maybe if you would just take alot of breaks while in the parks, and just sit alot,in between the rides ,it might help? You could just take this trip in a much slower and easier way,and get a different perspective of Disney, seeing things most people miss. Sit often and people watch....that is always alot of fun and I can imagine it would be even better in Disney World at Christmas time! Either way,you really do need to take it alot easier,or you will wear your knee out the first two days and the rest of your trip wont go as you planned for and hope.Plus you will just make your recovery take even longer,as when you get back home and see your dr,he will probaly say you went backwards in your recovery.I dont mean to be a downer about this, but this all happened with Kaitlyn after she broke her knee when she was 12. She rushed her recovery and started dancing on pointe too soon and ended up making things worse. So,I am just telling you this out of concern ok? Take everyones advice...get a scooter or wheel chair, and if you really dont want to do that, then at least take it very slow and easy. Think of all the moments you and Marvie can have to just sit, enjoying the Disney atmosphere and chat!

Anyway, time is drawing closer! You must be so excited! I am excited for you,and I really cant wait to hear all about your trip and meeting up with your best friend after twenty five years.....no matter what, that is what will make it a magical and special trip!

Here's hoping that you get the clearance for PT work schedule ... I am sure you will be able to manage Disney with breaks and stops along the way. There is something to be said for mental healing too, not just physical, and Disney will certainly play into that!

Just a few weeks more!

We too leave soon -- Dec 19 - 27, BCV. Never been at Christmas, can't wait!!
