In MK, what is TTC and BTMRR?
DHS: LMA? (DS is 2-1/2)
TTC = Ticketing and Transportation Center - if you are staying off-site, this is where you catch the Monorail / Boat to get from the parking lot to MK. Also where the Epcot monorail goes to.
BTMRR = Big Thunder Mountain Rail-Road.
LMA = Lights, Motor, Action stunt show - If any of your kids like cars, it might be a must see..but it is VERY noisy, and if your kids don't like loud noises, it may not work out well.

One ride is so hard to pick... we have so many favorites.

MK: Peter Pan. This has been my favorite ride since my first trip many years ago. My DD who just turned for also loves this ride. It's a small world is other other favorite and then Haunted Mansion. Okay see I couldn't do just one, and there are so many more, but they have been mentioned before.

HS: The Great Movie Ride is a favorite of all of ours

Epcot: Hmmm SpaceShip Earth I guess..... goodness there are a lot there also.

AK: The Safari

I did rides and not shows... goodness there are just so many.

My all-time favorite ride is Space Mountain at MK, but it will probably not be re-opened yet when you go. But there's plenty more to do!

MK:
Buzz Lightyear (Could hardly get DS off this one last time!)
POTC
It's a Small World (It's corny, it's annoying...but it's classic. Just be prepared to be singing that song for the rest of the day!)
Swiss Family Tree House (Your kids will want to live here!)
Jungle Cruise
**Columbia Harbor House for lunch!!

HS:
Star Tours
Backlot Tour (Catastrophe Canyon)
Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set
ToT (for the thrill-seekers)

Epcot:
Honey, I Shrunk the Audience
Maelstrom in Norway
**Ditto the comment about avoiding the Electric Umbrella for lunch; also the Cantina de San Angel!

AK:
Primeval Whirl
Kilimanjaro Safari

Have a great time. That first trip is just magical!

MK - I LOVE It's a Small World (no eye rolling here!). I have a couple others I like better but it's in my top few and with children that little, sure, it would be a top pick!

AK - Kali River Rapids

DHS - Toy Story Mania

Epcot - Spaceship Earth

Most of all, take your time, and have a WONDERFUL time!!

Anyone have any good/not to be missed ride/attractions suggestions? I've never been to Disney and dont really know what to expect/plan.

AK
MK
DHS
Epcot
Here's my two cents!

Magic Kingdom- Tomorrowland Transit Authority
Epcot- Spaceship Earth
Hollywood Studios- Toy Story Mania
Animal Kingdom- Kilamanjaro Safari

These are my favorite family friendly rides, which is what you want, since you have a young one!

(Otherwise I'd pick Tower of Terror at HS )

Have a great time!

Sorry! I meant TTA the Tomorrowland Transit Authority. It is a slow moving ride around Tomorrowland.

BTMRR-Big Thunder Mountain RR your kids will love it.

thank you SOO MUCH for the suggestions. now I have a list of rides and can spend my time in the car on the way down with the park maps and put them in an order so we're not going from one side of the park to the other, back and forth.

Now... last question (and I leave tomorrow evening, so you guys will be off the hook with my questions by then )

Which rides do I HAVE to fast pass if I dont make rope drop? With my little ones, I dont know if I'll be able to get them up, ready, and catch the bus from ASMo in time for rope drop.

I definitely will not miss Nemo, the Seas and TSM. Do I need to FP those?

And one last question (okay I lied above LOL), what exactly is Monsters Inc laugh floor? A ride?

TSM - Yes..definitely...lines build quickly, and FP often run out by noon. If you don't do rope drop, go over and get your FP right away for later.

My basic rule is if the wait is >30 minutes, then definitely use FP. Peter Pan is a kids ride that this is frequently necessary, the lines build big here early. Also Splash Mountain, Buzz Lightyear at MK, Everest and Kilomajaro Safaris at AK, Soarin and Test Track at Epcot, and ToT and RnRC at DhS (Not for kids, though.)

Have fun...don't stress...the first trip is usually one of the bests, but don't worry if you don't see everything...that's why we go back!

Is there really a place you can get a grilled chicken meal on COUNTER service?

I might need to scramble for CS ideas now (LOL). My kids could survive on chicken nuggets and french fries, but DH and I CANNOT lol.

You probably won't have time to read this since, if you are like me, you are trying to finish the packing but here's your answer.

It's in the Magic Kingdom at Cosmic Ray's. And it's very yummy! There are several food bays there with different foods and it's in one of the bays. You'll know what I mean when you get there. LOL Also in the Magic Kingdom is Columbia Harbour House. They have great sandwiches as well as chicken fingers. Both places are Counter Service. I usually do counter service with maybe one or two Table Services per trip.

Have a great trip!

I really recommend getting a fast pass for Peter Pan. That line is always long no matter what time of the day!

Depending a little on how busy the park is, you may find that getting through all the rides in Fantasy Land is quite time consuming if you aren't there pretty close to rope drop.
