I love the 50s costumes. I'm totally ripping that idea off for me and Ron's 2011 Halloween threads. I might even be hitting you up with my measurements and a check, along with a note begging you to make me a skirt. You have been warned.

A couple weeks ago we were at a football game and the H.S. band was playing Crazy Train by Ozzie (I hope you knew that). I started head banging. IT'S Ozzie, doesn't matter who's playing it right? Anyway, he wasn't very happy with me UNTIL, they played another one. Hee, hee! I just kept headbanging. I was having FUN! He doesn't get my idea of a good time sometimes. I think it's because he has no sense of humor. Oh, well!

I think if we do go to Disney next year, it will be around X-mas again. Matt will be in his senior year of football and it probably wouldn't be a good idea to pull him out for it. Coaches are WAY overboard when it comes to football. You come to practice, sick or not!

I am trying to talk him into giving me a solo trip in April for Christmas though. We will see how that goes. He is getting a little leechy lately, so I'm not counting on that.

Are you on Facebook, if so, find me! We can chat.

I love all you Halloween pics. They are great, you are so creative!

I can't believe your Germany story, HOW SCARY! You must have been freaked out. I loved the Duffy part though! Teenage fun. Oh the memories.
Bo's Halloween party is always the Saturday before Halloween, she never changes the date. It would be so awesome if you could come. Yes there will be alcohol, lots and lots of alcohol, and karaoky, which I will only do if I have had lots and lots of alcohol.
Kent isn't too into the major fun factor, he doesn't get it sometimes, he doesn't know how to let his hair down, I will definately keep you posted about all things, I know I am going to be in Mi this summer too, Bo will probably have a party just to have a party, she'll find a reason, like she just got a new haircut or something so we need to celebrate.

I am not on facebook, I will PM you my e-mail address though if you like.

A solo trip in April, hmmm I wonder if I can talk Kent into a solo trip for me in April, that's about the time the income check gets to us.

Way to support the school, if you can't headbang to Ozzy there is something wrong.

I would love to make your costume, you don't need to beg at all, I would be honored.

They share the drama with the Mama

I love the fact that the kids share it all with me, the good , the bad, the ugly, the illegal. And where there is Reese there is drama. She's not a creator of drama, just a magnet for it. Poor thing.

the kids came about 8:30am and went straight to bed, I too went to bed as I hadn't slept a wink all night. But when we woke up the kids had so much to tell me, I will share with you because there is nothing else to do right now, T.V. stinks. And who doesn't love teen drama? It 's our own personal O.C or One Tree Hill etc..etc...

A little background info here. Reese has been going out with Devon 3 and 1/2 years, they did break up for about 5 months their freshman year and Reese went out with one of Jim's friends Bodi. Reese has always hung out with the older crowd partly because of her brother and her boyfriends brother is a good friend of Jim's as well. Also because the band she sang in was all older guys. She only went out with Bodi for a month, she ended it because he is super clingy, she can't stand to have someone hang on her all the time, and he was a fun sucker! Beside she still had a thing for devon.

Reese and Devon.

Anywho, so last night is the party, I took the kids up to Red Lion to meet their ride. Being the Mom that I am I had to get all the details of who is driving and what not, Reese was going with Devon, Devons' brother Pigmy, and Budah. Jim was going with Joe, Marci, Gumby and Phil, their ride home in the morning would be with jingles.

All the kids have nicknames that have been with them since Jr High. Devon's nickname..., Devanzel. Jim's nick name is Mowgli, I love that its a Disney character, they all said he looked like Mowgli and he is wild.

Anyway, I head home for a long night of sitting by the phone and worrying. It's my job and I want a raise!

The kids are home safe by 8:30am, they go right to bed, as do I since I hadn't slept at all. I couldn't Dis either because I had to keep the phone line open.

This evening the kids filled me in on how their night went.

They show up to the party around 7:30ish Jim said there were 27 people there and he knows this because the girl throwing it, Racheal, said she was only allowed 30 people.
More back ground info.
Rachael is not from Red Lion, she is from suburban but she is dating Shae who is from Red Lion and her best friend is Sara who is dating Bodi, Reese's ex. Reese was in a band with Shae and Bodi, Reese stayed friends with Bodi even after the breakup, Sara does not like this.

The party was in Racheals backyard, the food was in the house.
So any way the minute they walk into the party the suburban girls break up into their discussion group, topic...Reese! All kinds of drama broke out, "What is she doing here? She has nerve, how could Pigmy bring her, this party is ruined etc...etc...
This goes on for a bit slowly escalating to the point that Bodi tells Jim Reese has to leave. Well all kinds of people came to Reese's defense, she's here with Devon, she has no desire to be with Bodi, Sara shouldn't feel threatened...
Sara did not like that people thought she was jealous of Reese or that she might feel threatened, so she goes off on a tangent saying all kinds of stuff about Reese. First off, she doesn't know Reese, they don't go to the same school so anything she might have heard must of come from Bodi or Shae. Second Reese, Bodi and Shae had been friends for a long time and it was Shae who invited her to the party, maybe he should have cleared it with his girlfriend first?

So Pigmy said that if Reese leaves then Devon would be leaving and since he was Devons ride he would have to leave as well, then Jim said If my sister goes I have to go too and then Joe said that means I have to go, in the end 21 of the 27 people at the party left because they thought it was unfair to kick Reese out. Jim and Bodi had "words" according to Reese Jim told Bodi what an @ss he was being, Bodi shoved Jim, Jim went to throw a punch but Joe grabbed Jim and told him it wasn't worth it so the group left and went back to Jeffs garage and had their own party. As they were going back through the house they took all the party food and left the food table empty. I feel bad that the girl was left without anything to feed her guests, but really, did they all need to make such a stink about Reese being there?
They could have ignored her and gone on with the party. Girls are so catty.
After a while they got a text message from Bodi saying they owed Rachael $100 dollars for stealing all the food. Jeffs party people played dumb. "What food?"

So I asked the kids, what about Rachaels Mom who had told me that no kids could leave early unless she talked to their parents and got the OK. The kids told me that there weren't any parents there. So that woman lied to me.
But Jeffs Mom was home and she made all 21 kids hot chocolate.
I hate the way things played out at first, and it seems like it was an unsafe situation that turned into a safe situation.

I called Rachaels Mom today and asked her why she lied to me, she said "I never told you I was going to be there all night, and if a kid wanted to leave early Rachael was supposed to call my cell phone so that I could call their parents."
I said, "well your Daughter was one of the people who kicked my daughter out of the party, Did Rachael call you and tell you this?" And the woman hung up on me.
She then called me back 20 minutes later and said, "your kids stole all the party food."
I told her all the kids took something from the table, I'm sorry that my kids were involved in that but really if her only complaint was food being taken then she didn't have it too bad, My 15 year old daughter who was supposed to be under your supervison for the night was kicked out."

She hung up on me again. Then called back again I wouldn't answer the phone this time, so she left a long detailed message and finished it with Reese is not welcome in her home ever again.

REALLY!!?!!! like I would ever send my kid back there, that lady is demented.

But I guess the kids had a great time at Jeffs, They said they didn't want to call me and tell me they had left the party because they didn't want to wake me. Honestly they thought I could sleep when they were going to be gone all night?

Bottom line, even though none of this was Reeses fault I have come to the conclusion that she doesn't need to go to parties like that anymore, she is too young, and even though her brother was there to watch out for her he almost got in a fight because of others girls drama with Reese. This was a bad decision on my part, I trusted a lady I had never met to watch out and supervise these kids and she lied right to me about it.

I kind of think that they invited Reese just so they could make a big scene once she got there.
Oh well live and learn.

I hate high school drama. And for what? BOYS!!!! Girls are very very competitive. Why can't they just chill out? Sigh... I feel so sorry for Reese. I would be SO upset if that happened to me. That mother sounds like a real piece of work. And we're how old? Even if that Sara girl was jealous, let her be. That's her problem. Reese is a beautiful girl and is bound to make girls of her age jealous.

And what kind of mother (or parents for that matter) has a house party full of 15-something year olds (I'm not sure if everyone was 15 here...) and is NOT home to supervise?!?!? Even if alcohol wasn't involved, it's still a big no-no in my books. Not only for the safety of the kids but for the house as well! It's a good idea not to let Reese go to these parties until she's a bit older. I know sheltering her is not the greatest thing to do (I didn't go to these types of parties until I was 18 and BOY OH BOY did I go crazy...not to freak you out or anything lol) but if it makes you, as a mom, feel better, I say keep her out of them until she's a little bit older.

The party was made up of mostly seniors, I think Reese and Devon were the only sophomores there, usually where Jim goes Reese is there too because they share the same friends, Reese is really mature for her age and has always hung out with the older crowd, I have always known the parents where she has gone to parties, this was a first for me not "knowing" the parents because like I said the girl was not from Red Lion. Reese's weekend curfew is 11:00pm I have never let her stay out past that. We had a long talk today and I let her know that I can't let her go to all night parties, even if Jim is going to be there, she is just too young and I feel stupid for letting her go in the first place. She argued, but I won!!!! She should be lucky that I let her do as much as I have been, I wasn't allowed to go out like that until I was 16, I could have a boyfriend but wasn't allowed to car date, not even in a big group. I let her go out with groups of people and Devon, but never just her and Devon alone. I honestly can not believe I let her do this. What was I thinking, we are all lucky that nothing bad happened.

Ahhhhh teenage drama. I remember those days, LOL I also remember never being friends with a lot of girls for that reason. Throughout high school and college I always had more guy friends than girl friends. I was even in a sorority, but really I only had a hand full and REALLY good girlfriends from there. And even then, there was always all sorts of drama. Anyway, I just think that the whole situation was poison. Them being kicked out of the party and leaving was a blessing in disguise. LOL I just can't wait till I have teenagers (total sarcasm!!)

I never throw anything away. I don't know why I feel the need to save every art project the kids did in school, I hearda cool tip about just taking pictures of them so you still have it but not the bulk. I haven't done that yet, it's on my list of things to do.
I still have all my cheerleading shoes from school, I cheered for 5 different squads, I have some of my favorite sweaters still, one of them I got my sophomore year in high school. I'm just a keep of things.

I decided today to start cleaning out cuboards and closets. VHS tapes were on my list of toss aways, who needs them anymore in this day of DVD and Blue Ray.

I found so many home made movies on VHS, I had forgotten about so many of them. One was just labeled sisters, I had to watch it.

I started bawling when I saw that it was from a visit my sister made to me when I was living in Chincoteague Va. I didn't even remember even taping anything at first.
We were both in our first marriages still. I had only 1 chin at the time and my hair was long with big poofy bangs, I guess I was still clinging to the 80's even though it was 1994. What I love about this tape is we're not really doing anything but just goofing around. Some of the things we did....

Made up fart songs, (we truly are our mother's daughters)
To the tune of I wish I were an Oscar Meyer Weiner..
OOOOOOoooooo, I wish I were a gacious fart eater,
Cause that is what my Mom wants me to be
but if I were a gacious fart eater
everyone would aim their farts at me.

.................................................. .................................................. ...............
(I don't remember the original title of this song, but the fart version goes...)

If ever you fart my way again,
I promise I'll save them forever,
I'll put them in bottles of rum and gin
and then I'll set them on fire.

(To Barry Manilow's "I write the songs")

I fart the farts that make the whole world stink
I fart the farts that make destroyers sink
I fart the farts that make the people blind
I fart the farts cause I'm unkind.

We dedicated all these songs to our Mother.

Played the what would you do if...game, that's a fun game, you write on a piece of paper "What would you do if...and ask a question, then you fold it over and trade, you answer the question without looking at it, so really the answer doesn't make much sense, but sometimes it does.

Bo's question was...What would you do if Marty was digging in his nose and struck gold? (Marty is my ex, and yes, he was a nose picker)

My answer without knowing her question...
I would ask for a divorce and demand half of everything.

We hooked up the atari to the old black and white T.V. and made nasty joystick comments about eachother while we played

Synchronized toe dancing...realy does that need an explanation?

The oompa loompa dance, you draw your legs up into your shirt so it looks like you have a huge chest, (it's really your knees of course) and you dance by moving your tata's along to the beat of the music.

cracklin crotchI'm even laughing now....I can't explain though without being repremanded by the dis authorities, just use your imagination...no wait, don't it's really not as bad as you might imagine.

We pondered politics, this was around the time Clinton was outed for smoking pot.

Create your own Disco by flashing the lights off and on and yelling "Don't take pictures of my butt." While shoving your butt in the camera lens.

red flickering tata's, don't be jealous. If I were to wear a push up bra my chest would cover my ears. You don't want to see this cleavage baby!!!!!

Big hair bows, what was I thinking when I bought this?

Wish we had a flashlight, we could have tons of fun with one of those things.

Bo: Hey Ty, do a cheer for me!
Ty: No, I'm married .
Bo: Yea, I quit cheering once I got married too.

Bo: Do you still coach cheerleading?
Ty: No I'm pregnant.
Bo: and how did that happen?
Ty: I think it had something to do with the aliens that visited my house.
Bo: So it's an aliens baby?
Ty: No, I believe it's Marty's.
Bo: you believe?! like maybe you aren't sure?
Ty: no, it's his, but I think the Aliens made me do it... unconciously.
Bo: They were just observing the mating habits.
Ty: Yup!!!!

.................................................. .................................................. ..............
This is when I remembered why my sister came for the visit, I was thinking about divorcing Marty, then I found out I was pregnant and I wasn't sure what to do, should I leave anyway or give it another try and hope this baby changes things.?
I was so depressed I called Bo in the middle of the night bawling, she bought a plane ticket and was there in 48 hours to comfort me. I ended up leaving him 14 months after that tape was made.

I am telling you, If I had a computer capable of doing so, I would put alot of that on Utube. I am going to make a DVD copy of it and mail it to her.

I also found a VHS home movie of our sisters trip to Cedar point. At the beginning of the tape we are at a gas station and I freak out, "OMG, I smell gas" Bo just loses it, "Yea, we're at a gas station."
"I know that, but it doesn't smell like a gas station, it smells like gasoline."
I know what I meant but she still teases me about it.
Then there was me trying some black bean dish, I spit it out on the plate and say Caca. Bo loses it again.

I wish we lived closer to eachother, we laugh so much when we are together, I miss her so much.

I call this picture. DO YOU THINK MY TRACTOR'S SEXY?

This is one of my favorite scrapbook pages ever!!!!

Last February at my SIL bachelorette party, I had way too much to drink, can you tell? The jungle juice was cheap and came in a bucket, I had 3 buckets...to start and that's all I'm gonna say about that night, I can't even post any pictures besides this one because they are allll bad!!!!!

My life long dream is to go to Disney with my sister, if everyday life with her is this much fun can you imagine what Disney would be like.

When I finally get my sisters trip, you are all invited, I would love for you to meet my sister Bo. I'll bring the jello shooters!

I always wished I had a sister. I think that is really the reason I joined a sorority. I really wasn't interested in being friends with a lot of girls, but I was really just looking for my "sister" from another mother. And I did find her. My little Boo boo (Donna). Boo boo was my maid of honor at my wedding, and there was never a better maid of honor!! She lives all the way in South Jersey, about 4 hours from me. Not terribly far, but it feels so much further. Boo boo is a huge Disney fan. She did the Disney College program. She's what they call mouse height, so you guessed it, she was Mickey. Anyway, I don't mean to steal your thunder, but I just think that it's so nice that you have this wonderful relationship with your sister. I really think that it is a bond like no other. I know how much I love Donna and how much I miss her when she's not around, so I can just imagine what it's like for you and your sister.

LOL jungle juice. It reminds me of my college days!! It is great stuff because it doesn't taste like anything, just like fruit punch, but man does it pack a wallop!!! The frat houses used to mix it in those big industrial sized garbage cans, you know those gray rubber made ones. LOL I can't believe I actually drank it.

Oh how I wish you were able to put that on youtube. I'm dying here, I can just imagine what this tape looks like.

What a wonderful relationship with your sister!

My sister and I are decently close, but nothing like that. We are too much different; polar opposites in fact. She drives me a little loco every once in awhile, so I need my breathing space.

But a trip with the two of you...WOW! Watch out world!!

You make me miss Bo! I love that you have such a great relationship with her! And let me know when we're all heading to Disney

That is sweet about you and Donna, do you get to see her often?

Jungle juice, I loves me a good jungle juice. cheap, sweet and fast acting.

Believe it or not, Bo and I are polar opposites as well, it works for us though, she was always the organized braniac, I was the messy not so brainiac one.
My brother used to say that he had 2 sisters, one that was smart but thinks she's funny, and one that's funny but thinks she's smart. I think Bo is smart and funny though.

Hey Ty,it too me most of the night, but in between working,I finally got myself all caught up on yout pre trip report.
Lots to comment on,not sure I can remember it all.But the drama with Reese...well,I know where you are coming from girl! I get it all the time from Kaitlyn.I can sympathize with you about the worrying by the phone and the arguements that come when you make rules the kids don't like. Also,I know it was hard on you,but I have to admit I loved your story about the "Are you for real morning."...I was laughing so much as you were describing trying to get ready and not finding your socks, your hair spray, the milk being all gone. That is also a typical morning in my house!
And yet,I keep telling myself enjoy it all now, because next year she will be in college and I know I will be having a hard time dealing with that then.

Anyway, loved everything you have been writting. I think this is such a great way for everyone to get to know each other. I wish I had a trip to plan now so I could start a pre trip report! I am so glad though that my trip report is over so I can keep up on reading the DIS again! Looking forward to reading more !!! Hope your leg is getting stronger every day!
