The cast:

Me – Disney obsessed, Shopaholic & extremely clumsy.....
Lee (DH) – aka the Mad Hatter….

10th September 2009 = Day 3

I woke at 8.30am, today we had planned to go to Kennedy Space Center however my ankle had really swollen up overnight so Lee suggested maybe to stay local and do some shopping…..no need to convince me!!!!!

We headed over to Prime Outlets around 10.30am. Looked in loads of shops but only bought a few bits in the Disney Outlet and lots of lovely smellies in Bath & Body Works. We stopped in the food court for some lunch and opted for Five Guys burgers, I had heard them mentioned on the DIS Unplugged podcast and wanted to try one as they described them as the best burger in town……..well we both agreed! It was yummy! Not so keen on the fries but the burger was delish! (They also have one in the Florida Mall too so if your nearby I definitely recommend stopping by.)

A few pics we took whilst out and about:

We headed back to OKW about 2pm and I chilled for a while with some cold flannels on my ankle. About 4.30pm we had a wander around the resort to take some photos.

I loved the detail on the fences…

Olivia's - The only sit down restaurant at the resort, we didn’t eat here as the menu is quite limited.

The boat that takes you to Downtown Disney:

We got the boat over to Downtown Disney, I headed straight for World of Disney and bought lots of things which we had shipped to resort.

The mad hatter made an appearance again…..

One of the beautiful Halloween displays in WoD:

Afterwards we stopped off for a drink at Ghirardelli’s, Lee had a coke and I had a coke float. We had a look in the pin trading hut and I traded a couple of pins (my first time at trading) and bought a few too.

We had an adr for Raglan Road at 7pm so we headed over.

We both decided on the Keen eye for the Shepherds Pie…..which was lovely.

For dessert Lee had Ger’s Bread & Butter pudding:

I had a raspberry pavlova (which isn’t on the online menu’s

) it was so scrummy:

It was our first time here and we both really enjoyed it. Whilst we were eating they had live music - it was a family of 8: the dad and his seven children, the two smallest one’s got up on the table in the center of the restaurant and did some Irish dancing. They were soooo cute and very good.

The cost was 1 x table service credit each + tip. I was desperate to try some of the lovely cocktails but was so dosed up on pain killers and antihistamine tablets.

We had a little walk up and around West Side then got the boat back to OKW about 10pm. I was in a lot of pain and hoped that a good night’s sleep would do the trick.

Coming up…… Can I walk????

Thanks Nat, I was determined after our illness throughout the whole of our December trip that we were going to make the most of this holiday as we aren't planning on going back for a few years.

Poor you, hope your ankle got better. It's horrid being injured on a holiday that you've planned for ages.

Nice pic of the sauna at OKW. I have stayed there on 5 occasions and never noticed it!!
