This is true. We are arriving LATE 10/3 but, because we are starting our stay the last day of free dining, it is offered for up to 14 days after that day. We are taking advantage of that until 10/9!!!

Thank goodness...I received my pin for free dining for the end of November to mid December. This is great. I called and was able to add days and still save money with my pin code. I hope all who want it get it.

What are the best ways to get this dining pin, I've been to WDW 10 times and we get lots of different e-mails, but must not be signed up for the right things??

It's random. It's luck of the draw. I think I've registered on every Disney site known to man and I've never gotten the free dining pin. Got one from Disney Visa, but never through Disney Destinations. Some people swear that if you order a Disney Planning DVD then you will get a code. Some people have gotten them after ordering the DVD, but I have not.

I got the DVD a few years ago and never got a pin.

There are folks on here that order the planning DVD multiple times during the same year trying to get a pin code!

Do they accept Disney Dollars to purchase beer and alcohol? For example: In WS @Epcot or... what if you are waiting for a table at a Disney restaraunt and youre at the bar? LOL Im sure it would be tacky to order a drink with Disney Dollars.

I wouldn't see why you couldn't. They're just another form of "currency" there - unless it says on the Disney Dollar itself that you can't, then you should be allowed to...

The reason I ask, I'm trying to save for my trip in September. I received Disney Dollars as a gift, also plan on buying more DD so I dont spend the money Im saving for vacation.

I dont want to go there with a hand full of Disney Dollars and not be able to spend it on things like alcohol.

Besides a few souvenirs, I wont be spending money on food, just an occasional cocktail here and there... oh and also on gratuity. hmmm. I dont suppose I can leave a tip in DDs? lol I said that to my Mom and she yelled at me..said noo you dont do that!! lol
