You're right... I've gone two times without going to PFTS & loved it, so I know I'll have a good time. I think I will try the Sweet Sundays, since that seems right up my dad's alley.

are local school closed for yom kippur? we were planning on doing Epcot that day well mostly F+W. Its like the only day i can work EPcot into our plans, and its my fav park!

Yes on both food and wine! You just have to get to the line early..say 1/2 or more before! It's a lot of fun!

to the poster above thinking of going on Day 1 of the Fest, I would reconsider. We were there on day one last year and I would say there were a lot of kinks still being worked out at about half of the booths we visited. The food and wines were great, but the lines and confusion were a bit of a pain.

this year, we're going a week later, so that 1) the kinks will be worked out (I hope!) and 2) the fest will run for our entire trip

Can someone describe "Sweet Sundays"? Is it like a dessert PFTS or something else? This is my first F&WF. Thanks!

There is a guest chef or dessert expert who will demonstrate how to prepare three desserts (usually three ... I don't want to mislead you, but three seems to be the magic number). Before the cooking segment there is a nice breakfast buffet - lighter than you would expect if you were just eating breakfast, but still satisfying (think eggy fritata, bacon, fruit, potates, coffee, juice, sparkling wine). And then through the course of the demo you get to try all three desserts.

We did it once a few years ago and it was worth doing once but we have no desire to do it again. A lot of it depends on who the guest chef is and how popular he /she is ... seating is limited.

DH and I will be heading down for a weekend -- October 24 to 26 -- staying at ASMo because we're out of DVC points. We have done PFTS 3x and last year did Sweet Sundays too and really enjoyed it. I couldn't believe that I could not finish 3 desserts!

Because we're there such a short time, we don't have enough time to sample all the food booth offerings when we opt for the hard ticket events. Tough choices...
