Followed your twitters a bit but I didn't want to ruin any surprises.

Had a lot of rain on my last trip in August so I am familiar with that feeling of wet plastic next to my skin as you pull out your trusty poncho once again to travel from ride to ride. But like you said it's still Disney and somehow the fun does go on.

It is Disney so you do go on but I had some not so pleasant moments where I just wanted to go back to the resort and cry. I didn't feel like a good DISer at those moments.

Thanks for de-lurking. I'm sorry you had to feel the pain with the rain too! But it makes me feel just a teensy bit better that you felt the pain too because it doesn't make me feel so bad for feeling it.

No. I didn't do one cause I think they are bad luck!

I've always been afraid that if I start one, my trip will get canceled. I know that Paula agrees with me on this theory. I will have to check yours out because I arrive the day after you. We are staying at Kidani. I'll look at your PTR to see if we will be in any of the same parks, ect at the same time! I have tons of questions for you, but I don't want to hijack this TR, so I promise to check yours out tomorrow. I am hoping for a slow day at work!

Friday May 22 - Day 1.

My alarm was set for 3:50AM. I wanted to leave for the airport no later than 4:30AM. I woke up around 3:25AM and there was no falling back asleep. I had thoughts of Disney dancing in my head and I was ready to GO. I got out of bed around 3:40AM, showered, did my hair, woke up Marc and we left right before 4:30AM.

I decided to drive to the airport, I get really anxious while traveling and thought driving would keep me distracted from freaking out. Plus, Marc drives like a crazy man and I didn't need that added stress.

As I was driving I felt the tears coming on. I knew I was going to get teary when I left Marc and I really didn't want to cry. I'm emotional, I can't help it. I can't even tell you what time I arrived at the airport but I think it was before 6AM. As soon as I put the car into park at the curbside drop off....I had tears rolling down my face. Marc got my luggage out and I was trying not to cry more with very little success. Marc's face at my tears just made me tear up more. We said a very quick goodbye, I couldn't handle a long one and I made my way into the airport.

I made my way over to the Southwest area so I could check in my two suitcases. The line was long but it didn't take a whole lot of time to get through it, it moved very quickly. Marc texted that he was proud of me going to Disney by myself and that made me tear up again.

That would not be the only time on this trip! I made my way up to security and that took a long time. It seemed that a lot of people who were leaving on the 6:15 flights were going through. Apparently they don't get to the airport at the recommended time like me.

After security I went to the bathroom and then bought some combos and a diet coke to take on the plane. I was too nervous to eat anything at that point. I got my DVD player all set to watch Twilight on the plane, also took my book out in case I didn't feel like watching it.

I called Mom to tell her that I made it through security and everything, also called Marc and told him not to text me things that would make me cry!

Finally it was time to board the plane, I was able to get a window seat and an older couple sat next to me. The flight was uneventful. I watched Twilight and then it was practically time to land. I did learn that putting the pins on my Vera Bradley Mail Bag wasn't a great idea, I lost a few of them during the flight. I really like flying Southwest, I think I will stick with them for my flying needs. We landed about 20 minutes early so that was just before 10AM.

I made my way to Magical Express pretty easily, I remembered the way from September. I had this father with 4 suitcases trying to out walk me to the check in desk. Pffft. I hate that kind of stuff. I did beat him there but it was because one of his kids tripped over one of the suitcases he was carrying. This is where I got confused. In September I had to go to the actual desk and check in, this time the lady sent me right to the lines for the buses. I was confused so I went back and she told me to go straight to the bus. Okkkkkay. So that's what I did. Yay!

There was no one in my line so I figured I'd be waiting a bit but the nice CM waved me right onto a bus! I got settled on the bus and called Jen. She was still at Downtown Disney. She had driven a little more than 1/2 way the night before and stayed in a hotel. Here are her pictures from DTD. I know she did some shopping for some DISers and she got her much coveted Pretzel Rods & Marshmallows from Goofy's Candy.

While I was on the ME Bus headed to the resort, Jen left DTD and head to All Star Music to check us in. We talked a few times back and forth about check in, she was able to get us checked in and the information I needed to get Mom on Magical Express on Wednesday.

I didn't really pay too much attention to the video on the ME bus. I was distracted by the sights of Florida whizzing by me. I was super ready for my vacation to BEGIN.

Jen called me while the ME bus was stopped at All Star Sports. She had our keys and was headed to our room. She decided to wait for me and then we could drive over to our room together.

Finally the ME Bus pulled into All Star Music and from out the bus window, across the parking lot I could see Jen waiting for me....

What a lovely update!!!! Joy and tears....so much love abounding!!! LOVE IT!!!!

I have been meaning to tell you that I SO love your TR title....Megan and I love that movie, and LOVE that part exactly!!! Whenever we have a rainy day here, we have this cute little banter back and forth between us reciting the words of that part of the movie....."Tut, tut.....looks like rain!!!" SO everytime I see your TR title, I get this warm fuzzy in my heart thinking about that....just wanted to share!!!!

I have a quick question about ASMu that I am going to PM you!

I bet it was hard to leave Marc! Mike travels often for work so I'm used to him being gone, but one time I volunteered as a camp councelor for a week and I had to leave. I was a mess being away. It's so much easier for him to leave!!
