January 2009. . . Calling all Snowbirds ~ Part V

5 days! But no countdown to DIS meets because you're all meeting when I'm gone!

My alarm clock this morning was beat out by the chirpping sound of a smoke detector. Looks like I need a new 9volt.

Just checking in...went to the Dr for exam and blood tests. When we got to the lab we "encouraged" then to use a vein finder...Their reply to my hubby, "Oh Andy we don't ever use those." (And we forgot the take the blanket for his lovie but he did get a present at WalMart-a CARS race set)! Gotta spoil the baby! He was great!

We discussed that somewhere on Part IV and I think that the stores were open until 10 (?). The restaurants and bars were much later. I remember thinking I was good because there's no way we'd be there that late.

It's almost time!!! I'm soooo not ready for this trip. I haven't packed, I have no idea what hours the parks are open, etc. Life has just been crazy busy lately. No matter, I'm going to Disney World!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, you came to the right place!! If you go back to the beginning of this thread, Shelly has posted the rides that are closed and some other stuff. Then on the DIS main page, you can easily check the hours!! Good luck!!

No worries, many of us on here can totally relate to the panic and not being ready!! I have so much I still need to get done...thank goodness I have a free Saturday that will definitely be devoted to getting everything Disney ready!!!

My Disney question for the day while I write up some notes for my cat-sitter and call my landlord is....
"If you could eat anywhere in the Magic Kingdom for CS, where would you eat?" My DF and I are going to MK for extra magic hours Sunday night and I need to know where I should use a CS credit

Can't believe I can say Sunday night and not put a date on it because it's THIS Sunday.

Definately Cosmic Rays! It's my favorite CS in all of the "World"!

We usually get Cosmic Rays too - it's really got a lot of choices. This year I want to try Columbia House - Clam Chowder!! Think I can get some as a snack credit?

We always eat at Casey's Corner. DH loves the hot dogs and fixings bar. The kids love the mini-corndogs. And I love the cheese sauce (put it on my fries) at the fixings bar!

I'd like to try Cosmic Ray's sometime too.

That would be fun! I'm not signed up for any official meets though. I'm still up for one on either the 24th or the 30th at DTD! My other days are all park days. My scheduled park days are in my PTR if anyone is interested!
