Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday to all!!!

For the time I am happy that I have 6 months + till my trip. I fell yesterday morning and found my left foot to be bruised and swollen this morning. Went to Urgent Care and had an X-Ray. It is Broken!!! I may need surgery to have it repaired. I could use some positive thoughts for the time being. Will keep you all posted. Lois

Lois! Oh no!! I can't believe it's broken! Hopefully you won't need surgery and you'll be all fixed by the time your trip rolls around!!

Looking for that Silver lining, I figure if I am not good as new I can get a Handicap pass and use a wheel chair. That should help to get us on the rides. When I called and spoke to my 15 year old grand son, his question was: Is this going to affect the trip? Just too funny. I am glad he wants to go. He is now at an age when it might not be cool to go to WDW with your grandma! I will keep you posted on my recovery. Lois

Saw the doc today. He said that although the bone will not heal straight that I shouldn't have any issues due to the location of the break. So I have 4 to 6 weeks before it is healed and that is if there are not any problems.

The good NEWS no surgery. I will take it. I go back on 1/9 for a follow up. He will take a new X-rays to determine if it is healing as desired. I will keep all posted.

I hope everyone else had a very happy and safe Holiday. Any plans for New Years Eve? We may spend it with the TV and two of our three Grandkids. Lois

Thats really good news that you don't need surgery. How was your holiday?
I have no plans for New Years. Just sitting at home by myself

Hello, I seem to be doing OK. As for plans for the New Years Eve we now plan to have our two lofer grandkids spend the night. Austin is 15 and Beth is 12. These are the two we are taking to WDW in July. Maybe we can discuss the plans during our time together.

I finally made my reservation. July 2-5 at the Dolphin.

It was actually a couple bucks a night cheaper than POFQ. Even after all of the extra fees and whatnot. Who would have thought?

I'm excited, and I think my dad will love staying on the Boardwalk!

Glad you seem to be doing ok, Lois! Discussing plans for an upcoming Disney trip sounds like a perfect way to celebrate New Years! Have fun!!

Congrats on the great Dolphin rate. I've never stayed at the Swan or Dolphin but I imagine the close proximity to the Boarwalk and Epcot should be nice!! Doesn't it feel great to finally have it booked?!

Hi everyone. We will be there July 24-August 1st. I wish we could stay on property but this is a family trip with 18 of us. We have decided to rent a house so we can each have some space of our own.I am so excited to go!! My son will be turning 5 while we are there so I will be planning something piratey for him. Like the pirate adventure at the Grand Floridian. It will be his
5th trip.

Yay! We we be there that same time for our honeymoon, also checking in on the 19th but we'll be at the Poly. Isn't is so exciting when you book airfare and purchase tickets? We love Disney and even spent our honeymoon there 6 years ago. For our 6th anniversary this year we got matching Disney tattoos. My son, Oren, talks about going all of the time and even gives me pennies he finds to put towards our trip. I have never been in July so I am looking forward to seeing what that is like. At least we will be able to take it slow and enjoy everything.
