How to keep stateroom when reshopping? - The DIS Discussion Forums

Hi!
So I just booked an Alaskan cruise for next year! I will be sailing this May and will look to reshop the Alaskan cruise on board. However, I would like to keep the stateroom I picked. Its the only one left on the floor and side I prefer. Can the 10% discount just be applied to an existing reservation? I will be adding a TA when rebooking on board. Does that make a difference? I rebooked for this May's cruise while on board in November and I remember not keeping the same stateroom. Just curious if its possible. Thank you!

If you did not assign a TA when you booked the cruise or if you did not do it before the beginning of this month you will not be able to transfer your reservation to a TA. DCL made a change earlier this month that if you want to transfer your existing reservation to a TA it has to be done within 30 days of making the reservations. The change was for all existing and future reservations.

You will be able to reshop the cruise on board if the category is still available for booking and keep the same stateroom since you booked directly thru DCL. What you won't be able to do is to transfer the reservation to a TA.
