hotel & AAA discount- temporary card
Hi. AAA sent us a temporary card good for a month in hopes of getting us to renew our recently expired membership. We will be down in Florida during that month. I was wondering if our AAA temporary card would give us the Universal hotel discount? How does it work upon checking in. Thanks!

i printed my card from the site when mine didn't arrive on time.
call AAA and see what is the problem on you receiving the permanent card. if the dates on your temp card are effective for your hotel stay, then it would be acceptable at the hotel.

AAA Question
Can I ask how much the AAA discount is on the hotel rooms?
And can I get the AAA discount if I book online? Or do I need to call and book? TIA! |

the discount varies based on dates and the hotel.
the largest AAA discount i ever secured was at 25%, but that is not the norm. my stays are longer than a couple of days. i have friends who have received 15-20% discounts but none in the past year. if you have a 4 day stay, the smsm could be the best discount for you. if you called and booked by phone, you could ask the TM what would be the best discount for your dates. they will go over all discounts with you no matter how long it takes to do so.

Thank you very much- I will call and ask them about it tomorrow.
We are staying 3 nights but only need 2 day tickets, as the last day we are heading over for our DCL cruise. Wish we could go down a day earlier so that we could take advantage of the 3rd day free promotion |

StephC, you will get more info by calling so glad that is what you are going to do.
i have the AAA, APH and can use the SMSM/public promo discount. I always call and see which rate will save me the most money. last year for my 10 night stay, it was the SMSM rate that was best for me. the TM's will figure out the nightly rate for the days you are staying and compare it to the other rates that you are eligible to use. the length of time i am on the phone with them varies. last year it took about 15 minutes to figure out the best rate for me. wish you the best for obtaining the lowest rate you can.
