Just for fun: There are 193 countries, how many have you been to?

According to the UN, there are 193 countries (with some debate). How many have you been to and which ones (please don't include holdings of other countries...for example, the Cayman Islands are not a country)... For a good reference see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_sovereign_states

I've been to 20 (so far!), they are:

Antigua and Barbuda
Australia
Austria
Bahamas
Belgium
Canada
France
Germany
Greece
Ireland
Italy
Japan
Luxembourg
Netherlands
New Zealand
South Africa
Switzerland
United Kingdom
United States of America
Vatican City State

Depends on how you count it. I landed in Switzerland & drove through a portion of it, but never actually did anything, so it may or may not count. (The airport argument. )

United States
Switzerland
Austria
Germany
United Kingdom (Scotland only)

It looks like 28, unless I am forgetting something. Pretty much all in North America and Europe--I have not had the chance to branch out much yet--I think we will get much further once the kids are off and it is just the two of us travelling.

The US
Canada
Mexico
The Bahamas
The Dominican Republic
Spain
Germany
France
Austria
The Czech Republic
Turkey
Hungary
Belgium
Denmark
Greece
Hungary
Italy
Liechtenstein
Luxembourg
Malta
Monaco
The Netherlands
St Lucia
Sweden
Switzerland
Tunisia
The United Kingdom
Vatican City (well, the Wki link does point out that technically it is its own country--which still astounds me )

I'm taking it that touring the countries in Epcot doesnt count right?

I have never been outside of the United States. I have just never had a desire to.

There is not a thing wrong with that! People have different tastes and desires. I know I sometimes have felt "wrong" for not wanting to buy a house (I honestly have no desire, I'm happy renting, particularly as we're still nomadic and may yet live in a few different countries before we settle) but I get a lot of slack for it. Travelling is a passion for some and not for others, some people find happiness in their own backyards!
