Swim Diapers

Hello! I was doing some online shopping and discovered that iplay makes reusable swim diapers. Can anyone give me any advice about disposable vs. reusable swim diapers? This will be our 1st time bringing our guys in the water.
Thanks!

I pretty much only use the Iplay diapers on DD. They worked great. My only issue was only one side had snaps so it can get messy to take them off if poop is involved. Other than that I would throw pee diaper right in the wash with her swim suit and the poop diapers I would rinse in the toilet first and them wash them.
I would recommend them!

Maybe for home, but no way I'd want to tackle the issues of a resuseable diaper on vacation.

My oldest was in diapers when they didn't have disposable, only reusable. Get the disposable!

Get disposables, especially for vacations. You won't use that many.

I had good luck with the reusable swim diapers but I am with the others who suggest disposables on vacation. The reusable sometimes did not dry out as quickly as I had hoped.

Actually, when I use a public pool, out of courtesy to the other guests, I double-diaper. Disposable diaper first, then reusable. If there is an accident, a disposable diaper isn't gonna hold anything in-- it loses its ability to do that after about 3 minutes in the water.

The Iplay diapers are awesome. I would make sure to bring at least 2, that way if the first is not 100% dry, you have a backup. I HATE disposible swim diapers...lol

We love Iplay swim diapers. It is the only swim diaper we allow at the indoor pool I work at. Disposables are not allowed

I had some extra little swimmer diapers last summer that I took to my DB's house for a cookout. He had 2 pools set up for the kids. After a while we looked at DS3 and his little swimmer looked a little funny. He had a pooped in it and it didn't hold anything. All the pools had to be dumped and cleaned. that was the last time we used them. I had the iplay ones but wanted to use up the little swimmers. Never again.

Definitely no disposable swim diapers.

We do as well!!! I know the children were sad they had to evacuate the pool for that reason

We only use disposable swim diapers if there is sand involved - cleaning sand out of cloth swim diapers is no fun!

We like the iPlay swim diapers and also the Bummis brand - the Bummis have velcro on both sides so they're easier to remove without mess if there's poop involved. But we like that the iPlay diapers are (minimally) absorbent so that you don't get peed on as you're carrying baby on the way to pool.
