LIVIN IT UP.... love that feeling!! LIVIN IT UP!!!!!!!!!
LET THE MEMORIES BEGIN!!!!!!

Anyone else think that the LIVIN IT UP song is the worst and BEST song ever?! My mom and I constantly made fun of it this entire trip. Some say that there is no excuse for Comic Sans, but I think there is: Livin' It Up! I love the message of the song but it's just... dorky? Or something. Lame. Every time we left the our hotel room or entered a park we would sing, "LIVIN IT UP" in a totally goofy voice. And usually we'd dance around like idiots. And if something really awesome or hilarious happened, we would just instantly break into it... LIVIN IT UP, MY HEART STARTS BEATING!!!!! Are ya dizzy yet?!

The other theme of this trip was quoting the QUEEN aka Stacey.

If you are one of those people who can't stand her, I don't think I can recommend this Trip Report to you. I personally think Stacey is completely free of all flaws, and that is why I have been quoting her since 2006. My mom was kind of on the fence about her until this trip when she finally fell off the Stacey lovin' cliff and embraced the madness that is Stacey. She too began quoting her all the time and so if you saw two crazy blondes running around the parks singing LIVIN IT UP and screaming "TEST TRACK BABY!!!!!!!!!!!" and "Pirates of the Caribbean! ARGGGGHHHHH!", well... That was us.

WELCOME!!!!!

Oh. HELLO YOU! Kinda forgot I was writing this for an audience and not just for my own giggles.

My name is Lia, I'm 21 years old, I work in the business of show and I have had a serious Disney addiction, obsession, infatuation, and devotion going on since the day I was born. This is partly because of my mom (the only other cast member in this fabulous and fierce Disney duo... though there will be special guests later on! Yay, foreshadowing!) who bought me all the Disney movies and taped Disney Channel specials for me as a child!

When I was 4, she convinced my dad that we should take a trip to Disney World for my 5th birthday. He originally said no, thinking I wouldn't remember the trip and that I was too young. Boy, was he wrong! I remember so many things from that first trip and all our subsequent ones! Disney left a giant imprint on me all those years ago, and I have not been the same since. It is VERY hard for me to choose a favorite park, ride, character, movie, etc... because I LOVE IT ALL SO MUCH! It's all wham!

You probably know me from my very famous prior masterpiece, The MCLOVINS Hit The World... HARD! that has been going on for over eighteen months. Yeah, it's an awesome trip report. People love it. If you haven't read it, WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH YOUR LIFE!! GET OVER THERE!!

So, the "yesterday" is covered, now let's get to the present trip report! I planned and canceled this trip THREE TIMES, so there begins the madness. Just warning: there is always craziness and randomness when it comes to my mom and I at Disney. Silly things just happen to us. We do nothing (mostly) to attract this hilarity, it is simply thrust upon us. Good stories abound!

We went from December 5-14, which is a time I never thought I would visit Disney World. I always wanted to see the parks during the holidays, but December is such a busy time as it is and my favorite time to go is during the Food & Wine Festival in Oct/Nov or for my birthday in April. When we had to cancel our trip planned for October 28-Nov 6, I didn't know when we'd end up going. But frankly, I've had a crazy year and I needed an escape to my happy place MORE THAN EVER. I really don't want to get too deep on here, but when I say I needed Disney, TRUST ME!! I needed it! So as soon as I was free of work commitments, I booked the trip and two weeks later... WE WERE AT DISNEY WORLD!

HELLO! I've lurked your other Trip Report the past couple weeks (still have to go back and read the whole thing though), and I am happy to be here for the start of this one!

I'm so excited! FLAW FREE TRIP REPORT 2011.

Y'know, I remember a lot from my first Disney trip, too. I was only four, but I definitely have a lot of these little snapshots in my mind of certain things we did (seeing Minnie for the first time, watching Alice skip down Main Street, etc.). I still have my ticket from that trip (we only went to the Magic Kingdom for one day), so I know exactly what time I entered the Magic Kingdom for the first time in my entire life. Shh, I know I'm crazy.

That song is phenomenal. I pulled an Emma Stone in "Easy A" because the first time I heard it, I was like "Ugh what is this awfulness? Stacey deserves better." But, of course, by the end of the trip, I was LIVIN' IT UP all the time.

That screencap of Stacey is killing me. She is America's greatest treasure.

Anyway, you know I'm ready for this! I can't wait to hear about EVERYTHING.

I am so in for this TR! I lurked through your last one and loved it...I don't know why I never commented, I think I found it after you already started and felt weird or something! But I loved it, and I'm looking forward to this one! I love how you write, you really have your excitement and love for Disney come through! I wish I could accomplish the same in my TR's, because I love Disney SOOOO much, but I feel like sometimes I'm so boring!

Anyway, I love Stacey, I love that song, I'm not really sure why people hate Comic Sans, but I write all of my TR's in that font, and I was just there when you were, I probably passed by you at some point (my DH and I went for a quick Christmas trip 12/10-12/14)!

Oh wow, you and your mom really "live it up" at night, don't ya? I swear as the day has died down, the chapters have become more hyper and crazier. I guess that's what food drunk does to you lol Sorry to hear that the MK equivalent of Maelstrom had a long wait But Tomorrowland is a good back-up plan.

LOL @ your mom sleeping on the Laugh Floor. I seriously don't understand why she would sleep in that show. Besides "NO SLEEPING IN DISNEY!!!", Laugh Floor and the AI experience are the worst shows to go to sleep in. Seriously? My mom got singled out because my dad and sister were trying to find us. It was pretty funny, but sleeping... yeah, major ridicule! to riding Space Mountain to wake you guys up *wink, wink*

YAY FANTASYLAND! You guys seemed to start out with a good track record for Night EMH there so far. I mean you seemed to get on Peter Pan's Flight fairly quickly, that's definitely a good sign. Love your pictures of the Castle, they are so pretty, especially the one where you can see right through the Castle to Main Street, that's a very rare site in most cases (sadly).

I totally agree about the Snow White situation. Like they really REALLY need ANOTHER place for M&Gs. Seriously, why can't they be like DLR and let the characters roam around wherever no true designated meeting areas. Snow White was my first ride EVER in Disney so it's near and dear to me, BUT it's gone now, being replaced by a M&G they basically already have everywhere in MK. :P Disney made a bad choice on that one :/

We Live it Up at all times, but yes, especially at night!

Hmmm I don't know. Maybe she is smarter than us all and was fake sleeping to get the monsters to notice us both times we saw Laugh Floor. hahahaha

There was no wait for Peter Pan, maybe less than 5 minutes? There never is a wait for anything when we do EMH since we go during such low crowd times as it is, EMH is usually super empty, especially as it gets later.

Thank you! I love that one where you can see Main Street through the castle too! It was so surreal and pretty to look at it that way!

Oh, I love the way the characters roam around at Disneyland. It's really really cute. I wish they did more of that at WDW. I know that around the time Tangled came out they were having Rapunzel and Flynn wander around Epcot (like even Future World, which was weird cause I never see face characters there) and it was so funny and cool!

Hey everyone!! I hope you all had a very enchanted Christmas like I did, or if you celebrate another holiday, I hope that was magical as well. And if you love Seth Cohen, MERRY CHRISMUKKUH!

I got a lot of Disney related presents of course!! My family says I'm so easy to buy for because they know they can just pick me up ANYTHING Disney and I will love it! They are right! I actually went to the Disney Outlet on Christmas Eve and bought my mom and I a bunch of last minute gifts!! I couldn't resist. I know that Christmas is not about material things, but I have to admit I had a bigger smile on my face walking out of that store with a bunch of Disney stuff than when I walked in, just sayin' I kind of want to get a part time job there, but I'm afraid I'd spend my whole paycheck before I even get it!

Haha, oh man, I so didn't even realize that those were the lyrics to the Must Do Disney song! Which is sad considering how I had that on constantly whenever I was in the room on my last trip.

LOL about the salad. My friend Alicia and I are always like "BRING ME THE MEAT AND THE DESSERT." Like seriously though. Salads are a waste sometimes.

I agree about the chicken. It just tastes SO GOOD I don't know what it is. Usually chicken is only blah in my opinion. But at Ohana it's GREAT. And the pot stickers and lo mein are perfect here, too!

I keep meaning to tell you, LOVE the new avatar! I'm so obsessed with Peter Pan right now since seeing the play last week. I mean I always loved it but now I'm on a whole other level.

I know it's hard to believe, but it wasn't weird at all! Everyone was so polite and friendly, and the guys were gentlemen and always offered the bowls to us ladies first. With the wrong people, it could have been a nightmare, but luckily we got lovely people. I was always hesitant to try Biergarten because you have to eat with other people, but now I'm totally open to it!

We'd be great table mates at Ohana except the fight over the pot stickers! I really don't care about the meat, LOVE the salad, and the bread pudding.

Honestly, I wish I could go there for the pot stickers and bread pudding. I am thinking that I will go to Kona on the next trip. Someone on the Dis reported that they will serve the bread pudding...

Kona is so great too! Though I've only had breakfast there, but I've heard the dinner is amazing too. I would really love to try it sometime.

Dining with randoms at 'Ohana...I don't know how I'd feel about that. I probably would've pulled a you and tugged on my mom's sleeve while whispering "No. Say 'no', Mommy." For some reason I turn into a three year old when faced with things I don't really want to do.

And what if they turned out to be smelly or fans of the show Whitney or serial killers or pool hoppers something?

But the salad is so delicious! I don't take a lot because I need to save room, but the dressing is so refreshing and wonderful that I can't resist.

God, reading this is making me tear up. I think I might be the only person in the world brought to tears by 'Ohana. It's just so perfect! *SOB*

You skipped the bread pudding too? BUT IT'S SO WONDERFUL. I'm not a bread pudding fan AT ALL, but 1 part bread pudding, 5 parts ice cream, 2 parts banana sauce, 2 parts Mickey sprinkles is a flawless combo.

I MISS 'OHANA. Eating food that's not from 'Ohana tonight is going to be torture.

I knew you would understand my concerns! This is another reason why July has to happen, so I have someone to judge everyone with.

You are NOT the only person who is brought to tears by 'Ohana, trust me. Yesterday marked exactly one month since I ate there. It was not an easy day.

I love your description of walking to your room for the first time, when your whole vacation is still ahead of you, it's such a happy time! And Stacey has to be on at all times...my DH is NOT a Stacey fan, he gets SO annoyed with her Stacey-isms, and always changes the channel when I have her on. But when we're in a Disney resort, she's on maybe 67% of the time.

I noticed she does the a lot...I do that too, and every time I do it I'm like "ugh, I'm such a loser!"

I love the Poly. I need to stay there someday, it smells like Florida in there, it's perfect. And the fact that 'Ohana is just right there is even better. I'm so glad you guys got in, I did not think that was possible!! I'm a psycho with my 180 day ADR's, Le Cellier and 'Ohana are always first, days before I have to make my ADR's I start having a slight panic attack about it. The thought of not eating at either of the places is almost too much to handle! Isn't 'Ohana just SO good? We told our waitress not to even bring us salad because honestly, don't waste it on us, just bring us the good stuff. My DH and I fight over that lo mein...just thinking about it right now makes me want to cry because I know I won't be having it for like, 9 more months. (AND that's IF I can convince my DH to eat there again because he informed me on our past trip that he really doesn't like 'Ohana all that much. Except for the noodles. And the bread pudding. )

That reminds me, I can't believe you didn't eat the bread pudding! It's probably my favorite thing in the world to eat.

Renting a car is awesome, though. But you know what? I'd like to take DME from the airport to Disney and then get a car once at Disney, since they have various places on property where you can do that. I love the Magical Express. I especially like taking it back to the airport at the end, cause it makes it feel like you're still at Disney up until the last second, which is nice.

I never freak out about ADRs anymore because I feel like Disney is such an accomodating company that they really try to get everyone in. Still, it's so much better to have your guaranteed ADR!

'Ohana is worth the 9 month wait! I will definitely be trying the bread pudding next time.

oh, had to come back and say.....seeing how much you love Tangled.....did you hear about the short movie that will be playing before Beauty & the Beast 3D? It's just a little something called Tangled Ever After........YUP! It shows their wedding!!!!! Setting aside the fact that I loved Beauty and the Beast growing up, and how much I love Tangled.....I no longer think I can wait to see the movie in theaters!
