    ROR for non-Star Wars fans?

We're a group of 4 adults and 2 kids. The kids will NOT be riding ROR. I doubt my 73 year old (grumpy) dad will either. For the three of us that would be willing to ride it- is it worth it for non-Star Wars people? When I say worth it- I mean worth either the ILL cost or an excessive wait time...

Is going during the 50th worth it?

We also haven't been since 2019 but are going this year. Mostly because it's my 40th birthday but I'm also excited to see the stuff for the 50th (went for the 25th too). I wouldn't have made the plans just because it was the 50th. I live in Williamsburg- December is a fun time with a lot going...

    The first ride/attraction?

With DS5 we did buzz when he was almost 3 and he was freaking terrified. I framed our ride picture and have it hung in our house and he was only mildly traumatized by it. With DS1 we did the magic carpet ride because we had missed our other fast passes, he was melting, DS5 really wanted to ride...

    Mosquitoes

Here now and DH and DS1 are total magnets for mosquitoes. Literally to the point where DS1 looked like he was having an allergic reaction after being bitten by a ton. Neither has gotten a single bite since we've been here and we're staying at BLT between two bodies of water... I've been to...

Using FP+ on Mickey meet 'n greet in MK?

Yes. We've done it twice and both times were more than worth it. First time it was the talking mickey, this time it was Mickey and Minnie in their birthday getup. The line is boring. We used FP for both visits and it was perfect. The line was no less than 45 minutes our whole trip.

What is your touring style with kids?

    Here now. In short: survival.

I'm freaking out... leaving Sat with 5 and almost 2 yo...

Well DS1 called 9-1-1 about 15 minutes after we got in the room. :scared: Police response is pretty good and the general manager at BLT is very sweet. :lovestruc The hole that Grandpa was hoping would open up in the floor and swallow him whole didn't show up. In other news I haven't found...

I'm freaking out... leaving Sat with 5 and almost 2 yo...

That's good to hear! I wasn't sure how it'd go. I know they're kind of controversial but I figured I'd take the judgement to make sure my dad doesn't lose my kid :rotfl2:. I also got the wrist cuff one so it doesn't look as much like he's walking a dog and more like he's just trying to keep a...

How old were your kids the first time they went to Disney?

First was just before DS turned 3, and this trip (leave Saturday!) ODS will be just shy of 6 and YDS just shy of 2. Everyone says the whole "they won't remember it" thing and before our last trip I'd say "yes, to be clear this trip is for us as parents :p" but he really did remember some of it...

I'm freaking out... leaving Sat with 5 and almost 2 yo...

I should have mentioned DH and Grandma and Grandpa are coming too. Gma & Gpa aren't as great of a help as others but they are at least there for moral support. DH will wrangle the stroller. I even bought a little wrist leash for the 2 year old because my dad almost lost my older DS when he...

I'm freaking out... leaving Sat with 5 and almost 2 yo...

I'm a Disney vet but more up until say, 2012. A lot has changed in the last 7 years and now I've got kids. I took DS5 when he was 2 (almost 3) and now he'll be almost 6. He's over the moon to go, and understands what it means to go now. DS1 is going to be 2 at the end of the month and he's...

When do you stop renting a stroller?

I really think it depends on your kid. Mine are 1 (almost 2) and 5. I waffled back and forth about whether or not to get a double but realized hey, we've got to push a stroller anyway, I'll just get the double. I have the feeling that DS5 will complain that DS1 is in the stroller and he doesn't...

    Food ordered through the app

Just following for any other info/opinions on this. This has been the first time mobile ordering was available when we're going (leave Saturday!) and I was hoping someone had posted recently about this. Seems like a great option with two little kids in tow!

Date night & Disney Springs options... it's been a while

I've been to Disney dozens of times but twice so far with my DH. We're going with my parents and two DSs (5 and 1) in May. We are going to do a date night without kids (yippee!). Last time all of us visited together 3 years ago we did Chefs de France for our date night. When he and I came for...

    Those using swagbucks ???

I did the Honest deal when they had a buy 1 bundle get the next free code (on Honest.com, then 2500 SB back too). I got two bundles and could have changed the date to further out on the second one (I can't remember how far out). I cancelled after the second bundle shipped. It was super easy to...

    Those using swagbucks ???

With those that AJollyHoliday mentioned, I just click on it, put in my zipcode and close the one that pops up. It credits almost every time for the Medicare Insurance Branch ones. I've never had to sign up but I did have to put in my zip code when it's prompted.

Fellow New Yorkers, question about new NYS free college tuition program.....

I wasn't very good at explaining what I was thinking. I'm also not sure where the $6K in tuition came from. I don't know anywhere that's $6K. I said NYS taxes were insane as a statement, not because I didn't think you knew that. I think everyone knows how insane NYS taxes are which is why they...

Fellow New Yorkers, question about new NYS free college tuition program.....

William and Mary is on a totally different level than SUNY schools despite both being in state. Also taxes are much much higher in NY. I'm originally from NY (born there, stayed until 18) and went to W&M out of state. Back then it was about $26K for out of state which was a great deal IMO. In...

    charging to room...

That's interesting about charging the CC on file. We stayed in May of 2016 at BLT through Disney (we booked too late to go through a DVC person/rent points). The total amount ended up being something like $6,000 over the course of 5 days and they didn't charge anything until the morning of our...

    charging to room...

I also believe you can only see your tally at the front desk. It'd be nice if that was linked to MDE too and you could just see it on your phone with your reservation. Maybe we'll get there someday soon. I brought a few hundred in gift cards I'd been saving and just put them all towards the...
