    The Everything Pooh Sized Thread

I just tried Haunted Mansion again at a MNSSHP at DH's insistence, and the stupid bar still wouldn't close. I'm only 5'4.5", and carry most of my weight in my belly and butt, so you might be fine since you are so much taller. Honestly, I don't care if I ride HM or not because I hate it, but DH...

To the CM's on the board: what is the one "tip" you can give us?

At POP, you could safely request near food court or near bus transportation, and that should get you close to your fix. ;) Just be sure to ask again at check-in so that the CM can check for you before you head out to your room. Good luck!

To the CM's on the board: what is the one "tip" you can give us?

Sorry I haven't replied sooner. I didn't see the first post. It depends on which resort you are staying at. At the Values, all the resorts have multiple pools, so adding on request to be "near pool" or "pool view" is more likely to be fulfilled. Plus, most pools are surrounded by...

To the CM's on the board: what is the one "tip" you can give us?

I handle resort guest relations, and deal with room request issues daily. The old method for making room requests was to fax them to the resort. The room assignment CMs have been instructed to ignore all such faxes. If you are more than 2 weeks before check-in, call the reservation center...

    Doing Disney overweight

Basically, the bar hits mid-belly for me; right at the widest part of my body. If they can't close the ride vehicle, they won't let him ride. Your DS is taller than I am so he might be able to maneuver the bar so it fits under or over the wide part of his body. I was walked the last time I tried...

    Doing Disney overweight

You are absolutely correct that your son will be able to ride the majority of things at WDW, and very few at Universal. Rides I would anticipate issues with: Haunted Mansion - bar won't close with any significant girth around "the middle" Space Mountain - if he's agile, he might be OK to...

OT: I have an interview at WDW!!!

So much has happened since we moved to Florida just over a year ago. We lived in the boonies (Weeki Wachee) for 6 months, then moved into a house a bit north of Tampa in a town called Lutz. The same day we moved, I was admitted to the hospital for complications with an infected leg wound. My...

2011 Yacht & Beach Club FAQ, Part III- DO NOT POST HERE- Summer/Fall

One last question: Can the IPO staff add my room requests to my ressie, or do I have to call CRO?

2011 Yacht & Beach Club FAQ, Part III- DO NOT POST HERE- Summer/Fall

That's a great idea. I just checked, and they only have studios available. I guess I'm just going to have to make the request, and hope I get lucky. I hope DH is OK with it. :headache:

2011 Yacht & Beach Club FAQ, Part III- DO NOT POST HERE- Summer/Fall

We've stayed in a Garden Cottage at BWI, and yes, they do have King Beds. Of course, they are also practically at the point furthest from the CL lounge and staff as you can get at that resort. There is a stairwell that you can climb up several flights for access, or you can take the long...

2011 Yacht & Beach Club FAQ, Part III- DO NOT POST HERE- Summer/Fall

Thanks for that info. Unfortunately, there is no availability to upgrade to a one-bedroom suite, or we would totally consider it. As far as I know, you can't book a king bed room at any deluxe resort other than in suites so that won't work for us as we won't stay at anything other than a...

2011 Yacht & Beach Club FAQ, Part III- DO NOT POST HERE- Summer/Fall

In all of our on-site stays, we've always requested a King Bed, and never had a problem getting it. It truly is the most important thing for us. When you say request close to Lobby, does that mean we would be close to the Concierge Lounge/Elevators? We are booked SV-CL, so will be on the...

2011 Yacht & Beach Club FAQ, Part III- DO NOT POST HERE- Summer/Fall

Can someone add me to the list for October at the BC? We'll be there Oct. 5 - 9. So, I know that y'all have told me this before, but I can't remember what you said. I have mobility issues and will have a scooter for our trip. However, I would like to be able to walk to and from the pool and...

2011 Yacht & Beach Club FAQ, Part III- DO NOT POST HERE- Summer/Fall

Well, thanks to all of y'all on this lovely thread, I am happy to say that we are officially booked for SV-CL for October 5 through the 9th, at the Beach Club. Even though we only live an hour away, I still wanted to stay on-site for my first F&W Fest and MNSSHP, plus we have the added bonus...

    Pop Warner...I'm scared!!

It depends on your touring strategy. If you are a Park Commando, then I would want the weekend with lower Park crowds. If you spend time at your resort, or need your resort time to recharge your batteries, I would do the quieter resort weekend. Honestly, we've done Dec. 16 to Dec. 23 or...

    Designing a Craft/Scrap Space

My CMC Upline has that entire system in her scraproom/office, and I LOVE it! I think it's a little more cabinety than I want for my space, but I think it's very cool if it works for you. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ So as I've been looking at the Expedit system on Ikea...

    Designing a Craft/Scrap Space

That is a FANTASTIC idea! I mentioned it to DH, and he didn't completely dismiss it so it just might work. He was concerned that the ceiling is on a slight angle in that area, but we'll definitely look into it. Thanks!!!! I know it's hard to believe it's been 5 months for other people...

    Reusable bags?

We're there every three weeks or so, sometimes more. I'd be happy to look for you if you aren't able to find what you want at a Disney store. Just let me know. :goodvibes

    Designing a Craft/Scrap Space

After 5 months of being in Florida, we've finally found a house that we really like, and will be moving in Sept. 1. One of my requirements for our new space is that I wanted a dedicated craft area for my scrapping, sewing, knitting, and office space. The new house has a "formal" living room...

    Reusable bags?

They do have them, but there aren't a ton of characters. I'd be happy to take pics of some of them the next time we're on-site which will be sometime the weekend of the 19th through the 21st. We'll be at MK for sure so we can see the new Tiki Room, but will probably also hit DTD for a movie...
