    Motel 6 rooms?

They have an option for a fridge for slightly more. Debating whether or not it's worth it. I don't drink coffee, my one friend does not either, and my other friend will probably grab Starbucks every morning, so no coffee maker isn't a huge deal for us. I'm debating whether or not the extra money...

    Motel 6 rooms?

Hey all, I'm looking at a trip that may be 3 adults, and I'm wondering if a Motel 6 room would be able to handle that. It would be all women, and we're all on the small size (I'm 5 ft, my two friends are only about 2-3 inches taller). I was also looking at pricing, and Quality Inn is more...

    Tickets in canada

From MouseSavers: Select Disneyland tickets are sold at Flight Centre locations in Canada, in Canadian dollars. Frequently you’ll find lower prices here than direct from Disney. Select Disneyland tickets are sold at some CAA offices. Some Disney Store locations may also carry select Disney...

What else to do on Oahu?

Take a day and just enjoy the beach at Waikiki. It's incredibly beautiful. Easy swimming water as well.

Yet another WDW vet takes on DL

Agree wholeheartedly. It's just...it's sad. This made me laugh. So correct. They closed the WDW version when I was very young, so I don't remember it. We rode the DL version, and I was like, "What the heck?"o_O New Fantasyland in the Storybook Circus section. You're welcome.

Where are you staying on your next Disneyland Trip and Why?

We're headed over towards the end of next month. My parents are DVC members, so we'll be staying at GCV. Since I'm getting an AP, I will probably go at some point in the first half of 2017 with a friend. My budget is about $100-$120 per night, so we will stay at whichever is the nicest...

WDW Vet intimidated by DL Crowds

I've been to both DL and WDW in the summer (actually, in the same week in different years) so I can weigh in here... What you will notice about DL compared to WDW is that the paths are MUCH narrower. So there will be times where it will feel extremely crowded whereas the same amount of people...

A call to Tortilla Jo's, and a larger question about DL CMs

I think it's about the same as WDW. You'll get ones who truly want to be there and who love working there. You'll also get ones who consider it to be just a job and who couldn't care less. Also, as others have said, just like at WDW's Disney Springs, many spots in DTD have non-Disney employees...

    Time of year to visit?

I just checked. The deluxe block out ends January 3rd. MLK weekend is blocked out. Spring Break it only blocks out weekends, not that I plan to go during Spring Break.

    Time of year to visit?

Hi all, My family and I are headed to DL in June. Because we plan on spending more than 5 days in the park, we are getting APs. To me, it seems like a shame to only get one trip out of an AP, and I am also graduating from college in December, so I suddenly had an idea: What about going back to...

Recommend a life insurance company for college age child?

I too have never heard of such a thing, and I am in college, but after some research, if you are cosigning a private student loan, it is a good idea to read the fine print and if you are liable if a student passes away, life insurance is a good idea...

    Transgenders and bathrooms....

I'll just say this: In the states with these laws, are they really going to station a bathroom monitor checking everyone out to make sure that they're going in the correct bathroom? No? Then really, how enforceable is this? The answer being not very enforceable at all. Also, I was in...

    Airplane - Headphones / Earbuds?

I fly to WDW twice a year and went from Baltimore to Hawaii last year. I used my earbuds (Sony, Apple earbuds are too big for my ears) and was fine. Over-the-ear probably would have cancelled out more noise, but they give me a headache after a while.

    Happy Star Wars Day!!

I wasn't able to do much today because my finals week is next week and I had work today, but I did wear my Force Awakens t-shirt, and I'm drinking tea out of my "Judge Me By My Size, Do you?" mug (which is funny because I'm only about 5 ft). I managed to be one of the first on my library's hold...

    FP+ (No More Paper Fastpasses)

I've learned how to use the FP+ system at WDW with few issues after several trips, but I agree; terrible idea for DL

    Best Airport

LAX is a confusing, crazy airport. It's easily the worst aiport I've ever been to. If it saves money and you feel it's worth it to fly into LAX, then do LAX, but it's a nutso airport.

The irony of being terrified by the Tower of Terror

It's actually a little better since I first experienced it. Back then, they had lap bars instead of seat belts. For a small girl, that was pretty terrifying. I didn't like it when they still had the lap bar. I'm still pretty small. You don't have to do the ride to see the queue. If you go...

Out of these Top 100 rated TV shows

Love Everybody Loves Raymond. There are times where college completely stresses me out, and 20 minutes of the Barones makes me feel so much better. Get Smart...I have seen every single one of those episodes far too many times. And reference them on a regular basis. Star Trek: TNG...got me...

Might be putting kitty down today...update post #18

Aww, I am so sorry. I lost my tabby when he was only 10 years old. He developed kidney failure. It was terrible; you don't expect that you'll lose them so soon. I've had my girl for seven years now (she's eight). I'm hoping that she'll live for a long time because I can't bear the thought...
