    Aulani current Amenities

We're trying to figure out if we should go in late May. (We've never been to Aulani or Hawaii). I love Disney and we have a four-year-old. Our daughter would love the lazy river, the tame ocean waves, and apparently Moana has "come back" (Maybe at the luau or wandering around?), according to...

Meal plan or pay as I go

20% or more. The Waitresses/CMs at Be Our Guest and Cinderella's Table were amazing, so they were tipped more. It is important to take tips into account when pricing the plans. If you have the deluxe plan, then you will probably want to get an appetizer and dessert, and likely order the most...

Meal plan or pay as I go

Every time a waiter was told we had the Deluxe dining plan, they would act impressed. "Oh... *Deluxe*... very good sir.". This reaction was fun for reasons I don't understand.

Using Mears Transportation from Polynesian hotel

Why not at the resort? Uber picked me up at the Poly ceremonial hall just fine. (However, on the trip back, the Uber driver had never been to the Poly, and I don't think he could read street signs, so he ended up driving into the TTC by accident.)

Does anyone else spend this much time deciding which Disney shirt to wear in which park?

I bought a $12 Mickey shirt at Target before I left, so I wouldn't be tempted to buy an expensive shirt in the gift shops. Sadly, I somehow forgot to pack my new shirt, so I ended up trying on a bunch of shirts in the Magic Kingdom. I stayed strong and didn't buy a $35 shirt, and I discovered...

    Anxiety/OCD in the World?

I have anxiety disorder and greatly enjoyed Disney World recently. (I take a daily SSRI, which has had a very positive life-changing effect.) - We went in January, which is "off-season", when there are fewer people. - The Polynesian resort was quite relaxing. Never felt closed-in, and the Kona...

I "think" all of the rooms like that now. I went last month, and my "standard view" room looked just like the one in your picture. They are very "nice" rooms. My understanding is that they have all been recently remodelled. NOTE: We got the cheapest "standard view" rooms we could find. I guess...

    Poly pics thread

I LOVE this thread. :) When leaving the Poly last month, I got really emotional. (I am 41-year-old man). Being there as an adult brought back all the memories of when my family went when I was a kid. This thread makes me feel better. :)

Should I have gift delivered at Cinderella Table, or in hotel room?

She was very surprised, and I think she was especially touched by the flowers. Also, the flowers came with a really neat pin. The pin is a little mirror, with the words, "Fairest of them all", written below it. Several cast members throughout Disney and Universal complimented her on it. :)

    Travelex Insurance

We bought Disney insurance for our trip in Feb 2016. A member of our party got a respiratory infection, and a visibly huge lymph node on her neck. She felt awful and she was bedridden. On the day before we were scheduled to leave, (a Sunday), she went to a doc-in-the-box. Because she was sick...

Should I have gift delivered at Cinderella Table, or in hotel room?

I just wanted to thank everyone for your replies! Here is what I did: 1. I ordered the Snow White themed flower bouquet, and set it to be delivered before our check in time at the Poly. About ten minutes after getting into out rooms, there was a knock at my door, and I was handed the flowers...

Should I have gift delivered at Cinderella Table, or in hotel room?

Hello, My mother and I will be spending the week at Disneyworld. We have a dinner reservation on Thursday at Cinderella's Royal Table, a dinner reservation on Wednesday at Be Our Guest, and we will be staying at the Polynesian. I would love to either: A. Have a Disney gift delivered to our...
