Disney's WILDERNESS LODGE Information & Questions

Looking at staying here for the first time at the beginning of February . Just a standard bunk room. Im guessing if renovations are just starting in January the club level then they won't have any bunk rooms done. We really like the food options and boat to Magic Kingdom but Im not sure it will...

1st week of February mostly booked ?

We are considering the first week of Feb or March . I really wanted Feb to try the Festival of the Arts . It’s a lower price season and lower on the crowd calendar but had barely any availablity . Even Shades of Green is booked that week ( but still has all of Christmas/ New Years available??)...

BOG PPO... how does it work??

I would like to add that we did this last week. Got there early , preordered and were 3rd in line for the mine train. There were technical problems and it did not open until 9:00. So, keep in mind there are no guarantees .

PPO breakfast worth it for 7 dwarves?

Word of caution. We were there last week. Let in at 7:45. Had breakfast preordered. Ate quick and 3rd in line for the mine train. Well, there was a problem with it. Was not able to open at opening. We chose to wait but it did not open until 9:00. Such a waste of time but we didnt have a FP and...

    Opinions on motion sickness

I get mild motion sickness . Never a problem on Soarin . Unfortunately FOP was a bad trigger for me . I didn’t actually see most of the ride as I was trying not to puke . I was dizzy with a headache for hours afterwards . I was really surprised.

    Kids Shoes?

My kids wear crocs with thin low socks (prevents blisters). They never complain when they wear those.

    Stroller for 7 year old?

We loved our stroller for years. We are not super active people and my kids are complainers :) I say that to say when we went last time with an 11 month old, a newly 6 year old and 9 year old the baby was the only one who used the stroller. Hubbies fitbit logged us over 10 miles each day and...

    Still confused about rider swap

FYI - 3 can fit together for Splash Mountain if its in your plans. Kids would get to ride twice then on that one. Also true for Test Track in Epcot.

Just ordering coffee at Be Our Guest Breakfast?

We are going for for PPO breakfast in April. We are ordering 2 kids meals for our family of 5. We will also have the pastry platter. The kids eat as soon as they wake up so Im sure they will also have a little something in our room first.

Donald's Dino Bash at Animal Kingdom?

We met the characters last trip. It was so fun. We headed over around 10:00 and the waits were less than 10 minutes. Some of them are kind of hidden around a walkway to the right of Dinoland. Chip and Dale have on fantastic Dino costumes and Launch Pad flew around with my boys.

    Tales with Belle question

30 minutes tops for the whole thing. They let anyone line up and take the pictures when we were there. It's not a very interactive meet and greet. After the little show its a quick walk through for pictures. It's mostly an experience with a quick photo op at the end.

Grand Floridian Alice in wonderland splash pad

Oh I know, I just way saying it seems like it should be fine . As in, that would be logical but I am aware of the rules. It's just unfortunate.

Experiences parking at resorts without room reservation/ADR?

There is a lot of information out there about visiting the resorts to see Christmas Decorations, or eat at the bar/quick service areas, maybe do some of the activities that are supposed to be available to anyone. This seems to contradict doing that. We plan on eating the POFQ this April and...

Grand Floridian Alice in wonderland splash pad

I am not a fan of this policy. I have a 9 year old that is not a swimmer. He still loves the splash pad . We will be staying at the Wilderness Lodge this fall and it seems he should be able to play with his younger siblings. The Shades of Green Splash Pad has a 12 and under policy.

1st week of April little availability

We like the Royal Rooms. We would rather book a preferred but last time RR was all that was available. The theme is not over the top so it doesn't feel like a little kid room and it has queen beds (Pirate rooms do not). Also, if you request oak manor its actually closer to the lobby than many...

CBR Pirate Rooms vs POR Royal Guest Rooms vs AoA Little Mermaid Rooms

I was just about to reiterate POR as the best choice. Its not as far from the main areas as the other 2 resorts , especially if you request being close to the bride. I know you are looking for more magic for the little ones but the Royal Rooms really are fun. Between the 2 you mentioned in your...

PPO for BOG and 7DMT before official park opening?

We are going in April - 2 adults and 3 kids. We are just going to order 2 kids meals and maybe a cupcake. I am wondering how rider switch will work with riding the Mine Train before opening.
