Disney Resorts to start charging parking fees....

Two points: 1. Used to be years ago as a DVC owner I would save points by getting a non dvc room over the weekend, especially if we were flying or driving in late. We have not done that in a very long time because the Disney resort rooms are so expensive. We now stay off site. With the...

    Pop Century Room Renovations

We are in a renovated room right now and love it. The mattress on the Murphy is extremely and surprisingly comfortable. We are on the first floor and do not hear our upstairs neighbors. A lot of storage space. The only issue I have is with the glass shower doors. We use the string for our...

    Grand Floridian Gingerbread House.

Construction started on the house very early this morning (we got out of dinner really late last night). This was a cool site to see. I believe the gingerbread is going up tomorrow morning.

Poly studio - is there a dresser?

We are here right now for 9 nights 3 people and we were really concerned about this. There is a lot of storage, more than in the other resorts. We are quite pleased. Nice use of the drawers underneath the bed, and there is a chest holds a lot of stuff. Oh the laundry room is nice as well.

    Free Dining . . . I want it . . . help me!

When free dining was originally offered back in 2004/2005, it was a tremendous deal, especially if you stayed at the values. We would stay a couple nights and keep the one day pass you had to buy for the next years annual pass. It included everything, including appetizer, desert, and tip. I...

Advice on taking a year off

We are currently taking a year off, senior year and college search for d made planning a trip difficult. But now that is over, looking forward to a vacation at the poly before school starts and for husband and I, food and wine for our 25th anniversary. I agree, absence does make the heart grow...

    Celebrity Sightings

In 2007 we were at the yacht club at the time there were a number of democratic candidates were running for president were debating there. No, we did not see Hillary but we did see Dennis kosinich with his wife at the boardwalk. A better one, we did see Samantha brown filming at Epcot in...

    Why Are Lines Longer?

We have been here for over a week. The rides appear to be slower in the queue. We used to just walk on figment, a few days ago it was a 25 minute wait standby and once we entered the queue it was definitely slower, and waiting once on the ride to begin more than a minute or 2 for the ride to...

    Studios last night

Let's see. Had fast passes for tot, TOT had a 90 minute wait standby at 840 pm, fast pass was 30 minutes, only half the elevators were working. Muppets were down, all of the attractions in the middle were closed or finished due to the summer show and frozen fireworks. Essentially all...

    MDE down for anyone else?

Agree with previous post, the cms are great. Well when my mde came back up my SDMT for tomorrow is down from a party of 3 to a party of two. It's the only time I could get, and timing is dicey as my husband has an interview soon after that.

At the park now, FP+ lines are snaking through the park

We are here now with 3 teenage girls and they are having better luck in the standby lines. Lines for fp+ were very bad through Monday. My husband and I on the other hand keep missing our fp+ times, and have ridden practically nothing. We are happy to be here (a lot of snow back home) but I...

Seriously? now I have to think about Soda refills?

Was at the boardwalk bakery a few minutes ago and they have turned over to the rapid refill mugs. Signs all over as to how much the days cost, etc. Note Last Thursday I bought my mug at the bakery without the refill option. I do not believe the chips are working yet at the bakery or how...

august 2013 codes for rental cars?

Gina, not sure if it matters, but the Alamo quote with insiders includes an additional driver. Budget does not. With the 2 being nearly equal I will pick Alamo because its only fair that DH and I share the driving. ;)
