Which would you choose for 1 night post-cruise?

I’ve stayed at YC and Contemporary. Honestly, I didn’t find Stormalong Bay to be as great as I expected it to be. I’d often heard people compare it to a water park. It is nothing like a water park. The lazy river is pretty small. It’s basically a sprawling pool. It’s nice, but for me it didn’t...

    Debarkation day- WWYD?

With very young children in the heat of the summer, we prefer to rope drop to take advantage of the shorter waits. Then we are back at the resort during the brutal part of the afternoon, and we return to the parks at night. Since you aren't going to be able to rope drop due to getting off the...

    poly vs contemporary

I’ve stayed at both Poly (club level) and Contemporary (garden wing). I don’t particularly care for the aesthetic of the Contemporary. What was really special about the Poly was being able to see the fireworks and hear the music right from our room. We were on the 2nd floor of the Hawaii...

Would you upgrade to Concierge for these reasons?

This will vary by family of course, but many kids are used to napping around mid day and going to bed before 8pm. Add in the exhaustion from doing so much all day and it’s very easy for little ones to be spent and not able to start a lengthy sit down dinner past 8pm. To each his own. Some people...

Would you upgrade to Concierge for these reasons?

Concierge guests can board the ship as soon as it's ready. I think that's 11:00. I asked the question about the 1923 welcome lunch and the Aquamouse on a facebook group and the responses were varied. Some people said absolutely do the lunch and it was as quick as you wanted it to be...

formal nite on 3 day cruises?

I haven't been on the Magic, but I read that only the longer cruises have formal nights. My first cruise will be on the Wish and there is no formal night at all on that ship because it only does 3 and 4 night trips.

    Monorail Wait Question

You will not have a problem and will get to MK with plenty of time. The monorails come frequently. The Contemporary is the only place it seems to get backed up (usually in the evenings) but even then the monorail is very efficient.

Would you upgrade to Concierge for these reasons?

I go in November. I wish it were sooner! Yes, we are planning on using the nursery for my daughter while we go to Palo and Enchante. I will also probably use it other times as well. I want to take the older two snorkeling and a 2yo can't do that. Hopefully she handles the nursery well but...

    Disney Transport with Rented Points

Yes. You don't need to be a DVC member to book a transfer from a Disney resort. Anyone staying at a Disney resort can book a transfer.

Would you upgrade to Concierge for these reasons?

That's awesome!! I have 3 kids: ages 9, 7, and 2 when we cruise. The idea of not having to worry about the Royal Gathering for my daughter, getting front row seats at the shows (and I heard they give concierge guests the best tables at dinner, like next to the stage for Arendelle!), and...

Would you upgrade to Concierge for these reasons?

I booked my first cruise on the Wish (concierge level). Everyone will have different reasons, but for me what made it worth it was the bigger room (we are a family of 5 and are getting the 1BR suite), the open bar, priority embarkation and disembarkation, ease of getting reservations for Palo...

    AKL vs WL

Not to hijack the thread, but how was your concierge experience on the Wish? I’m booked for concierge later this year. OP, I’ve stayed at WL and AKL and enjoy both. I have young kids so prefer the proximity of WL to MK at this time in our lives, but I think AKL is stunning.

    Grand Flo vs. Poly????

I’ve stayed at both and enjoyed both. You can’t go wrong.

    AKL or POLY

AKL is an amazing resort. It has the most stunning lobby on property IMO. If you don’t care about proximity to MK or other resorts in that area (for dining etc) then definitely go for it!

Planning for first trip with a child

I have 3 kids and have taken all of them at that age. We go every year and have never had a bad trip. IMO Disney is great for kids/babies at any age. Here are my tips: 1) Stroller naps! Going back to the resort just for a nap isn't practical. If the baby is tired, she will fall asleep long...

Bus transportation from Grand Floridian and Poly

I've stayed at both resorts and have always made it to rope drop at all parks. I've never not been able to get on a bus because it's been full.

Is Ohana really that bad now?

I do not like Ohana for either meal, breakfast or dinner. The breakfast options are very limited compared to other character breakfasts like Cape May or Chef Mickey's. For dinner, the food is just poor quality IMO for the price. I expected to love Ohana dinner based on how difficult it is to...

    Any great restaurants in AK?

Tusker House dinner buffet is very good IMO.

Traveling With an Infant on Disney Cruise Line

To anyone who has been on the Wish with babies and toddlers: how would this work during the dinner shows at Marvel and Arendelle? Would 45 minutes be enough to eat and see the entire show? Would an hour be enough time? I am worried my youngest won't make it through dining that lasts 1.5-2 hours.

First-time Concierge: Looking for advice on the Wish

I'm booked for concierge on the Wish for my first cruise! I don't have any real experience yet, but my advice would be for your friend to research the Wish and concierge on the Wish (exactly what is and isn't offered) prior to making the decision. Concierge is a huge upcharge and I could see...
