Will Corona Virus Force Lifting of Resale Restrictions at Riviera?

I completely agree that if I were to sell, I'd absolutely want to get back as much money as I could - anyone would! As a buyer, I would definitely prefer that there not be any resale restrictions; however, the resale restrictions are not a deal breaker for me. My decision not to purchase is...

Will Corona Virus Force Lifting of Resale Restrictions at Riviera?

We haven't bought into DVC yet, but we visit at least once a year. For the last three years, we have paid cash through Disney for a 1 bedroom villa for our 8-10 day stays (BLT twice, BWV once), so I have definitely been looking into buying. We have looked at Riviera, and as someone who does not...

    So Torn! Advice Needed Please

We just decided to cancel our Spring Break trip. This trip has been long-planned and greatly anticipated, with my younger daughter turning 4 and me turning 40 while we were supposed to be there. We had BBB and Cinderella's castle booked for her birthday, and a private fireworks cruise booked for...

    Trouble ordering Magicbands 2

Try opening the disney site in private mode on your browser (InPrivate mode for Internet Explorer or Incognito mode on Chrome). For some reason, I get an error for magic bands every time when browsing in standard mode, but it works in private mode. Something about Disney's stellar IT and cookies.

Opinions on Resorts (Large Group/Mobility Issues)

Another vote for Boardwalk here. My family of 4, with a 6 year-old and a 3 year-old, stayed there for the first time over Spring Break this year. We have previously stayed at AKL, Grand Floridian, and BLT, and preferred BLT for the ability to walk to MK and the incredible fireworks view. After...

    BLT or Copper Creek??? Help

BLT no question! We have little ones and have stayed there twice. Absolutely loved being able to walk to MK, my 2-year-old was enthralled by the monorail, and the fireworks view is fantastic! We're staying at BWV next time and I'm worried we won't like it as much, but BLT wasn't available. You...

    Bed Bugs!!

I want to know this too! Has anyone actually done this who can report back? I feel like they will just look at me like I'm a crazy person if I ask for this (which, to be honest, I am a crazy person when it comes to how much I worry about bed bugs!). If you've done this, how long did it take? Did...

Poll - which resort for Spring Break?

Thanks for the replies so far - I’m so torn! Right now, we’re planning 2 days each at MK and Epcot, and one day at HS. If we switch to Copper Creek, we would replace one of those Epcot days with AK or with a 3rd day at MK (we like AK but don’t care about FOP - my oldest didn’t like it last year...

Poll - which resort for Spring Break?

We're planning a Spring Break trip, and we currently have a 1 bedroom booked at the Beach Club villas, which we picked for the proximity to Epcot and HS. Now that spring break discounts have come out, I am reconsidering. We could switch to Copper Creek and save $1800, still in a 1 bedroom villa...

    Biggest Medical Rip Off?

When I was pregnant with DD2, the doctor recommended genetic testing (a blood test) due to my "advanced maternal age". I checked with my insurance company ahead of time to ensure that the specific test was covered - it was. I got the blood drawn at my in-network doctor's office (I'm sure you can...

Going to Disney with people who don't want to be there?

DH and I love WDW so much that we've been 7 times over the past 6 years. However, the reason that we love it is that it's magical for our kids. We had never ridden any of the height restricted rides until the last couple of trips when our oldest was tall enough for some of them, and it didn't...

Just back. Not a big fan of HEA (breaks my heart!)

By coincidence, our trip last year happened to be the week that Wishes ended and HEA began. We had never seen Wishes, so we saw both shows for the first time in the same week. I LOVED Wishes, and was underwhelmed by HEA. The new show just couldn’t compete with watching my 4-year-old look up at...

Crowds now (end of April)? Crowded, mobbed, or impossible?

We’ve been here since 4/21 (heading home today ). The crowds have been light with the exception of yesterday at MK - it was Dapper Day which drew a huge number of very nicely dressed people (lots of fun to see all of the outfits, but we were done with the crowds by mid-afternoon). The weather...

Arrival day evening activity-which to choose?

I wouldn't do P&P on arrival night with kids that young and an early flight. We were there in November, with our toddler and kindergartner. We had a non-stop flight from Chicago arriving around 11:30 am, and we had to leave our house for the airport at 5:30 am. Neither of the kids napped on the...

    Bay Lake Theme Park View

LOVE the theme park view at BLT. If you're already budgeting for BLT, the incremental expense for a TPV isn't that much more, and it's well worth it if you have little ones. My 4-year old loved watching the fireworks every night in her PJ's, and we were able to get her baby sister to bed before...

Wanna buy a Fastpass? It will cost ya $50

I am super annoyed for this exact reason! We originally had a bounce back booked for 8 nights in April at CR concierge level, theme park view. The bounce back gave us a 30% discount, such that it was actually cheaper than a non concierge level room, for which no discounts have yet been offered...

Caring for Giants tour at AK

I booked this as a Daddy-daughter activity for my DH and 4-year old DD, both of whom love animals. They both loved it! DD came back brimming with elephant facts, and they both loved seeing baby Stella. I would say go for it!

    Arriving Late for an ADR

We were 18 minutes late to Mama Melrose's on our last trip and were turned away - they told me the grace period was 15 minutes (and were pretty nasty about it, frankly). I don't know if 15 minutes is the norm, because we are generally on time or early for our ADRs, so have never experienced...

    And just like that--it's Christmas!!!

Anyone know if the gingerbread house is up at the Grand Floridian yet?
